The Marketplace Rules are simple:

You may post as many packs for sale in your original post as you would like- What this means is that if you want to post 1 pack or 20, it doesn't matter. Once you hit the "Submit New Thread" button, that's it, you can not offer any more packs for sale in that thread.

Do not offer your products or services in someone else's sales thread- What this means is that you are not allowed to go in to another member's sales thread and say something like "Gee, these are ok, but mine are much better. Check out my sales thread and buy them instead." or "I can make you custom graphics just like these for $1.00, send me a PM"

MySpace or other user accounts may not be sold in the Marketplace- What this means is that you can not sell your MySpace account with 43K friends, or your Twitter account, or your Bebo account, or your Hi-5 account, or your <insert any social network/member site that is not listed here> account. You may not post a "Want to buy" thread for any of these items either. Any such threads will be deleted, and no Marketplace fee will be refunded.

You may not sell graphics/comments/layouts in the marketplace that you did not create- What this means is that if you didn't make it, you can't sell it, regardless if you purchased resell rights. If you are considering making a "co-op" sales thread, meaning so-and -so made the backgrounds, and you are turning them into layouts to sell, and you will be splitting the profits from the sale, please PM a Mod BEFORE you post the sales thread to make sure it's ok. We will need to verify with the other party that they did indeed give their consent to the sale.

No thread bumping (either for yourself or your friends)- What this means is that you are not allowed to post in your own sales thread or your friend's sales thread simply to put it back up into the "Recent Posts" section. While sellers communicating with the buyers is encouraged, there are ways to do this without bumping your thread, please send the buyer a PM.

The following is a list of what is considered bumping:
  • "nice pack", "all PM's replied to", “still available” and "thanks for payment, pack sent" or any variations thereof
  • Updates on availability (3/10 packs sold)- If you feel that a pack availabilty update is necessary, please PM a Mod and ask them to update your original post.
  • Now accepting trades on this pack
  • Tagging is now available- If you are now offering tagging for the pack, and it's not stated in your original post, PM a Mod and ask them to edit your thread.
If you have a relevant question about a specific item, please feel free to post in the thread, as others may have the same question. If you have questions about technique, compliments, criticisms- please PM the seller. Sellers CAN post in their thread if they are significantly lowering the price of a pack or answering a question that a buyer has asked.

Auctions are discouraged at MSP- Should you choose to have an auction, or to participate in an auction, you are doing so at your own risk. It has become next to impossible for the Mods to "police" every single auction. With that being said, the following rules MUST be adhered to, or it will result in a permanent ban.

• All bids MUST be made publicly-What this means is that you,the seller, must deny all bids or offers that are made to you via PM.

The following is a list of what MUST be included in an auction thread:
  • Start Date & Time
  • End Date & Time
  • Starting Bid
  • Minimum Bid Increment
  • BIN
Any auction that does not include ALL of the above information will be deleted, and no Marketplace fee will be refunded. Seller will then be given an infraction, or will be banned.

Seller should PM a Mod and ask that the auction thread be closed once a winner has been established.

If you are posting an auction, for the time that it is open on MSP, it can NOT be listed anywhere else.

"Would you buy these" type threads- Do not make a thread with a couple of graphics and ask if you made a pack, would anyone buy them. Look at your work, if you like them, make a pack. Then buy a Marketplace thread and take your chances like the rest of us.

If you need your Marketplace thread edited, please contact jessidel, Anne, minnseoelite, or any of the other mods
