Hi,
Well my site brings in 300-600 uniques daily. I know that's not a lot for a MSRS site as I realize most of it is really people using the graphics in their profile and stuff.
My budget is low but my motivation is high and I really want to bring in more uniques.

I've tried bulletins, MySpace messages and comments and message boards on myspace. All with low to medium results but non where really outstanding in their results.

So I turn to my expert friends:
I'm willing to spends some bucks on advertising (no I don't have a multi $K advertising budget) as long as I know it will bring in more then I spent on it for the long run (3-4 months).

I turn to you to ask - what methods did you find effective for your sites.
What's the best CPC to use or the best advertising technique?

I did read all threads in this forum and didn't find any real answers to these questions so I'll appreicate any help.

You're on dangerous grounds with so much keyword stuffing in your footer.

Google doesn't approve it, you're in trouble if they notice it.

Google will de-index your site and BAN it when they see it.

Too bad that people start bragging about how much they make and try sell bulletins and other stuff to the guy. I thought we were here to help each other out?
(i do notice your sarcasm Drew and PGZ)

Let me at least give you a small tip. The way i get most of my traffic is by having a lot of accounts on Myspace. All of them using my layouts and images and other stuff.

Then i use Adder Robot to add friends. Keep it to 300 a day. Especially when the accounts are new. Even better is to create an account and let it sit untouched for a month and then start adding friends. This way Myspace won`t ban you right away.

Now. When you keep adding friends to you accounts more people will see your profile and images and other stuff and they will come to your website to get some stuff. And so on and so on. Hope this helped a bit.

You need to appreciate the history of Mr. hat to understand the sarcasm he draws...

My current personal preference for getting more traffic, is to just get links on high traffic sites.

It's easy, it's instant, and it doesn't break any rules.

True you have to know the history here with Mr Hat. If you go and read a bit you will see he is Mr Negitive about everything and rather then be helpful he tends to try to belittle people and be sarcastic.

He brags about big income which I see as quite funny.

Isn`t it better to just ban the dude?
Now a thread is completely screwed because of one comment...

Ummmm he has a 2 week ban on him now. His comment in this thread was on the 24th before his ban took place.

This seems like great advice for those of us just getting started. I think I will give it a try! Thanks

Just about everytime someone posted a thread selling glitters etc, Ted would ask for free samples.

I wanted to know about buying high traffic links, I have being lookign for some for a while but the prices seem to be really high !!!

When I do my maths :s and work out the CTR of the link and the CTR rate of my adsense and then the lame EPC of adsense on myspace sites , i come out way under the cost of the link

Do you guys buy links at a loss in order to gain future benefit by the link building effect or do you buy link to earn revenue but just have better and CTR and CPC than me ???

Let me know your thought

Thanks Marx

i have yet to make a profit off of buying a link in the same week but its the greatest thing to give your site a jumpstart.

You buy a link and maybe make breakeven in the short term ...... taking a longer term view you hope some of that traffic sticks and brings you return visitors + unique visitors from the people that follow the link back from stuff the original visitor placed on their profile.

Using bulletins the story is basically the same but the number of uniques is usually much greater than from links.
However with a bulletin the traffic comes all at once diminishing as the days pass. After five days its pretty much over. It's rare for a bulletin to not pay for itself though and you usually come out ahead.

Thanks for the answers so far guys!
I've removed the extra text at the bottom as advised.

I do use bulletins but I think it's not enough.
I'll try to follow some of your other tips on this thread and see how it goes.

I've seen some great tips, personaly I purchase advertising from graphic sites that offer a range of graphics so it attracts not just myspace users (this isnt for a myspace resource site but a graphic site).. They are usually pretty cheap aswell even if it only brings in a little amount of unique hits.

Its like trying to get a chain rection. You send out the bulletins and get the links and stuff and hope you et repeat visitors to come back and keep using your layouts and tell their friednds and stuff. It doesn't work as well as in 2005 but good luck.
