View Full Version : How much do you pay for Advertising?
Drew

I'm currently running a number of advertising campaigns on a number of different sites. They vary in length (and price), some are for a month, some for a week, and a couple for only a day.
I've paid a fixed amount for these campaigns, but I'm tracking them closely so I can work out a CPC value when they finish.
I'm curious what other people who pay to advertise are currently paying on a CPC basis, please share your advertising CPC.
Thanks.

$560 this month and last month. Im not sure how many users I am getting from each site individually but so far it has only given me 4k - 7k visitors a day.
Geez, I cant imagine spending 18k a month on ads right now. I guess I have to wait for expenses and revenue to gradually increase.

About 1-2 cents per visit or click.

I doubt they use adwords
they probably buy links and bulletins
adwords dont convert too well and the CPC is kinda high

No not adwords, as I said at the start I'm buying links at various sites for a fixed amount, but I want to compare it on a CPC basis.

Adwords is one of the things I use.....It works if you know how to use it in the right way.

Guys I have a humble budget to spend..can someone give a newbie a hint? I have about 4k$ and this is the only shot I will ever get... I have my own strategy but would be more confident if a myspace guru tells me somethn that will shred some light. Or at least give me an idea of what is good and what is not.
Thanks

4K is plenty of money to get started
1. Buy a script
2. get site together hosting +domain
3. buy a friend adder program
4. buy some bulletins
5. make money

I'm not spending $ at this moment anymore simply because we invest in some products, we got about 14 sites bringing 20.000 visitors daily.
I was spending about 400$ a month
When i got some cashflow back i will invest again.

Hmm, you guys that say you pay for over few K per month day what ever!
Why dont you do something like this guy did!
http://www.joelcomm.com/ = A Adsense Guru!
Wrote a ebook sold like ALOT OF COPIES!
http://www.ozemedia.com/cgi-bin/webbbs/webbbs_config.pl?read=26335
Write a eboook charge like 50, 100 or even 150USD on your MYspace or succsess on how to start from scrach and build your site to be top notch!
Sell like 100 copies and make ALOT OF MONEY!
Well for a lot of Us newbies to myspace world or
Community Ressource site Admins!
Most dont know where to start advertising others dont know where to buy advertising. On who to trust, who to buy from!
I personaly have like 600-700USD budget per month to spend on advertising for now!
And have asked alot of users here to help but NONE of them are willing to do so, or even offer me advertising space or something like that to make MONEY!
Most of these guys make alot of money but buttomline most of you could make 2x if you setup a payment getaway + a small script to sell clicks!
I or any one else go to your site and se, hmm okey i will get aprox 200visitors per day costs me 10USD great i*l buy it for 1,2,3 months or what ever!
Or ohh i*l get 8888 Uniuqe visitors per day and it will cost me 80USD per day!
Okey then i know where i stand and what to buy!
Other sites will make more money and new sites will get a chanse to grow even if they are small! :/
My 2 cent!

So do you guys reccomend buying bulletins? I bought a myspace account w/ 30k friends and I sent out a bulletin, but got probably 20 hits maximum. Are these guys legit?

bulletins provide the least quality traffic.

Err, you PM'd me asking for help and I wrote you quite a long PM telling you anything I knew and tried to help despite being very inexperienced. I think the people on this forum are very helpful and I wouldn't expect them to give away secrets. Please stop acting like no-one is offering you anything. That's not cool.
I didn't come to this forum in a blaze of glory, but I gave a little and got a little back. You can't just demand help and think you'll get it, join in and people will get to know you and help you.

Not if what you're promoting is also the least in quality.

I spend zero money on promotion.
Why are people selling promotion when they can be using it themselves I always ask.
