In this tutorial I will show you how to make multicoloured text like this in PSP8:

The easy way! This is good if you are wanting to make a glitter with different colours but don't want to have every letter a new piece of text.

Step One:
Create a new image and add text to it.
http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/2325/step1imgformulticolouregw3.gif

Step Two:
Go to Objects >> Convert Text To Curves >> As Character Shapes.
http://img412.imageshack.us/img412/8130/step2imgformulticoloureqn0.gif

Step Three:
If it isn't already open, open your layers window by going to View >> Palettes >> Layers.
You should see something like this:

Now click on the + sign beside 'Vector 1' to expand it. Then your text should appear:
http://img243.imageshack.us/img243/3371/step3img2formulticoloursv4.gif
Click on the + beside your text, just like before. All the letters in your text should appear. Doulble click on any letter to choose its stroke, fill etc.

There you go, multicoloured text in no time!
Please don't place this tutorial on your site. This is to help MSP users.

I used to have a hard time doing this, making every letter a different piece of text. :p
but then I learnt how, lol, this will help lots of people.

You can also highlight a letter and choose a color (when you're still writing the text), then highlight the next letter until each letter has its own color. :P I always do it like that...

that doesn't work for me for some reason. =)
it changes the whole word to that color.

Thats because you gotta highlight the letters first. If something that works for everyone else doesn't work for you, it means you're doing something wrong ;p

I do it the way kenzie does too but this technique is good as well. x] I used to have trouble before I learned how. xD

Cool tutorial, but what I do is I make the text all one colour and select one letter and
colorize it.

Are you kidding me? "nice...thank ya!" to a thread that's damn near a year old?

The point isn't to spam old threads to pad your post count. It ends up working against you because they all get deleted and then you're back to square one.
