Does anyone think these domains have any value? I think one of them is quite good. I was just sitting on them but then found a link to a site selling domains, myspacegirls.com start price is $50,000 and current bit $178,000. That got me thinking what are domains with similar names to what I have going for and they look quite good prices, obviously not $50,000! scrapbook-layouts.com is up for $1,000, which no-one has bid for it, mine would probbably be lower as $1000 for that is quite high. I think though they would be popular for MySpace sites.

Input would be appreciated!

TotallyLayouts.com

TotallyLayouts.net

AllLayouts.net

YourMySpace.co.uk

(Note: I see alot of domain topics in the Market place, but as I am not posting a selling thread [though if anyone has any offers PM] more of advice on if the domains are decent, I am posting it General. Obviously go ahead and move it if it is more relevent in another section!)

All of those are great for what they are...though I never did like the co.uk extension lol. I like alllayouts.net and totallylayouts.com best.

The sites listed on godaddy (think that is where you saw myspacegirls) is obviously way overpriced. Most of them are and they usually seem to do it to help increase the perceived value so if they have an opening bid for 50k with offers open, they hope someone will offer 25k or something silly. I wouldn't pay much for a domain unless it get a crapload of typein traffic. There are just too many options and in most cases, the domain doesn't matter as much as long as it's easy to remember....at least in my opinion. My main msrs domain has nothing to do with myspace, layouts or anything even design related. Just a random wierd word combination. But I get a lot of direct visitors and such as people seem to remember it well. Sure, I wouldn't mind having myspacelayouts.com but not work thousands and thousands of dollars to me.

As I mentioned in another thread, you should consider just throwing up some of the cheesy turnkeys on them and trying to get them ranked for niche stuff and just let them build on their own. If you get lucky or niche them well enough there is no reason they couldn't easily make $10 a day...which would be better than selling them. That is unless someone offers thousands for them, which they may very well be worth to some people with the funds.

Yeh, the .co.uk was free with my now unused 1and1 account, I think I got like 5 free .co.uk's. I'm not fond of it as an extension either. Though my personal site is .co.uk, but that's alright, I am a UKian!

Your idea is still my main thought for some of those domains, but I thought I have a few good ones if people think they are alright, I'd try and sell one of two and use the money to fund something on one of the sites.

I agree, unless people are typing the domain in randomly, and it provides a huge number of hits that way, then it isn't really needed/worth $10,000+ which is crazy money! Other than being a 'good' domain.

Thanks Scilynt

I have also some domain names and I am using greg script for it. At the moment i get not a lot of adsense revenue like $3 - $5 a day. I find that strange because i think the names are good :

cutelayout{dot}net OVT of 18663
myspacemusicvideo{dot}com OVT of 64573

I was even thinking about selling the names because the revenue is not very high with adsense. Maybe i need some advise :)

TotallyLayouts.com is my favorite.

alllayouts.net is let down by the triple L too many possible typos.

YourMySpace.co.uk is very good also but the cctld extension is not easily remembered by non uk users and it will also hurt your ranking in google.com -

Yeh, I agree the 3 L's is a bit typo prone. That's why I ditched it as a name for my main site.

I guess I'll make a secondary site with TotallyLayouts.com/net and just have it constantly for sale if a good offer comes.

Sorry to say but all your domains names combined are only worth 20-40 bucks and that may be an overestimate.

The Uk extension isnt very good. The other domains aren't generic enough.

Just because a domain is being auctioned off at a hig price doesnt mena your will sell for the same. Those auctiosn may be shill acutions to entice you to pay a registration fee to have your domains auctioned off on that site. A scam.

Beg to differ I'm afraid. I've sold over 300 .co.uks and now dont sell any for less than £1000.

^^Like i already told you, its a great domain. Its one of the top searched terms. If you can make it unique instead of just having the same old letters from everyone else's generator, it could be a huge hit...
just look at www.glitteryourway.com
but then again their script is very very nice. i love it and offered to buy it from the owner, but she wouldnt sell it.
