Can we list the most popular ones in no particular order? Also list the best ones in terms of actual utility and content. I am naming some in no particular order. Looking for more names and unique ideas too.
1. Pimpmyspace.org
2. Blingyblob.com
3. Blinkyou.com
4. MSRS (covering all the sites using MSRS)

I will check out the ones you listed that I haven't seen, but I have to go with freeweblayouts.net.
Edit: I don't rate any of those websites very well, they may do well for traffic (which is hwy youn listed them), like Pimpmyspace.org, but the other 2 are confusing and hard to know what's what when you see it. MSRS come in all different qualities so, you can't really list that... you'd have to pick a single MSRS site.

Just checked out that site, I guess they used to or still do own this site as well: www.myspaceland.com I think the diea of that for the younger MySpace crowd is very good, probably could be done a little better but that actual idea looks very nice! With the island and stuff... they seem to link to other sites, but if each page was part of an island it would be very cool. Ha, they spelt tables wrong...

nuclearcentury has to be the ugliest site I have ever seen. They could be even better if the did some CSS and lost the colors they have now.

They should care, if they have a decent design I bet they'd double their hits (Maybe not double..). I have seen that site before (when I was a MySpace user, not site owner) I'd leave right away as it wasn't laid out neatly for me, I'd 'struggle' to find my way around.

Do they host sites aswell? Because a site Selena pointed out on another topic Hot-Lyts.com has a nuclearcentury page, hotlayouts.nuclearcentury.com, hmm, or are they a host? I have no idea, anyone want to give me a biography of the site :D

bunnyherolabs.com/adopt/ for most original flash toy
rockyou.com for slide shows and branding
????? for best looking site

I wish I had gotten sooner on the MSRS thing
Back in 2004-2005 I was pissing my time away doing other ****. I wish I had known about myspace sooner and the potential.
People talk about how bebo and tagworld is gonna be big like myspace and thats a bunch of bullshot. Those sites are tiny compared to myspace and the market is already flooded with social networking sites. There have been 100;s of new sites in the past year but only one can dominate almost all the marketshare whihc is myspace.
Just do a google search for 'myspace'
top top resource sites are those that rank in order

freeweblayouts.net by far is the most unique myspace layout site i've seen.
About nuclearcentury, I think the owner hosts sites with the subdomains. Most of the hostees are friends of the owner or apply to be hosted for free.
I'm sure she makes them put her ads or something to help pay for the hosting.

The owners of freeweblayouts.net layouts are good at graphic design and decent at web design, but thats about it.
I have dealt with the two owners of this site in the past and I dont think they know much at all about marketing or SEO etc etc....
Also I am pretty sure they outsource a lot of their graphic design work to other people...
But overall i think its the best site and you can understand why they are making around $120,000 usd/month + affiliate earnings.
good on them..

I am pretty sure the owner of NC contacts people who have big myspace accounts that have layouts and stuff, they probly tell them "you know you can make money off this" etc etc, NC probly takes a nice little cut on their earnings aswell.

Check out bigoo.ws ranks #1 in google for 'myspace layouts' and has 512,000 inbound linsk according to yahoo
https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/search?p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.BIGOO.WS&bwm=i&bwms=p&bwmf=u&fr=yfp-t-501&fr2=seo-rd-se
That is a **** load of links - a lot of which arent even myspace related
Skize.com whihc ranks #2 has 150,000 inbound links
https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/search?p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.skize.com&bwm=i&bwms=p&bwmf=u&fr=sexp-rd&fr2=seo-rd-se
Purelayouts.com which is in the lower middle in terms of ranking for 'myspace layouts' is only a year old. It 'only' has 15,000 inbound links.
https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/search?ei=UTF-8&p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.purelayouts.com&bwm=i&bwmf=u&searchbwm=Explore+URL
Yea so if you want to rank top 10 for those good keywords and become a mypsace resource site authority your site should be:
1. over a year old
2. A PR6+
3. Have 10,000 or more inbound links
#3 is probably the hardest to do.
#2 isn't very hard to do. You can buy a PR8 link to $400 a month which should give you a PR 6 but would it help in the SERPS? I dunno. I don't want to blow $1000's to find out that it doesn't. :chris:
#1 about patience
Just some research I did

you are right about the marketing and seo, though thats covered up by their web design and programming knowlege. The majority of the scripts on the site are written by the owners of the site. I work for them, and the fact that they don't just use scripts and collected images and layouts for their content makes them very high quality.

Damn... that would be like a dream! Imagine earning so much money... and here in Mexico it would be a fortune, since the average monthly pay for an 8 hour job is about 600 bucks
I have always wondered how much do the big earners here make... :whistling:

Bape - Overpriced urban clothing line that jacks prices and creates marketing buzz through limited products runs and excluvisvity.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Bathing_Ape
We're talking $500 hooded sweatshirts here.

Mass popularity seems to be waning (in terms of what I've seen of eBay prices) but I can't really be a judge of mainstream popularity as I live an anything but a tready location.

Probly dieing out due to the fack of the massive amount of fakes on the streets now,
People have moved from bade to other brands like 10deep, billion air boys etc etc, all these brands are stupid their like 800 bucks for a branded tee.
Personally I am not up to date with USA fashion as I live in australia, all I get my info from is the dress code section on boxden forums.

I'm not much better off.
Following youth trends would be so much eaier if I lived in a big US urban center.
I live in Newfoundland, Canada........ in a small town of a couple thousand people.

Ok maybe I'm only a small stupid foreign hillbilly :D But how could these guysd (freeweblayouts.net) possibly make $120K/month PLUS affiliate sales?
Please explain?
I'm already doing a lot of volume with companies like azoogleads etc but I cant even see the most basic coverage with ads on this site?
As example: the contact table detail site: http://www.freeweblayouts.net/select.php?cat=myspacesports&subcat=ct&id=721&name=Chad%20Johnson&ct=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v496/lyricalflowz23/Bobby/july07/chad2con.gif
There's not even an CPM ad, all there is is an adsense header but nothing that would receive super high CTR I would assume.
Further on all other subsites of this domain I only see some CPM ads, plus some adsense ADS but nowhere ANY cpa ads.
So if they make $120K/month with this site, they had the option of making at least $800KI, if they would drop some more ads onto their sites.
Now please, if anybody know more then me HOW they make this amount of cash you guys talk about, with this few ads on their sites, please enlighten me?
Thanks a lot in advance

lol, yeah veryx old...last post before mine 10 days or so... And the rest yeah dunno, if it's 2006 alöready that much ($120K then it should be now a lot more)
And the answerr that $120K/month seems low...where you have that from?
If someone that has actually some real arguments would enlighten me how you all come to the 120k/month conclusion?...I'm waiting =)
Seems way to high for me when I calculate maybe 300K visitors a month @ $0.5 per thousand impressions and some adsense clicks... I doint see $120K/month coming from that...
