Hi everybody,

I've seen several posts here about having layouts made for your MSRS sites. I think I read that other layouts are not compatible with the MSRS script. I have a degree in Graphic Design (unfotunately I havn't used it much, instead I operate a forklift), and was wondering what the requirements are to make layouts compatible for the MSRS script. I'm willing to take a stab at making some custom layouts, contact tables, or what ever else MSRS site owners need, I just need to know the requirements. Any info you can give me regarding image sizes for layouts and contact tables, file types, file sizes or anything else would be appreciated. Also tell me what type of content you want, ie. cars, models, skylines, environment, tv shows, or whatever else. I'm also interested to hear what you think is a fair price per layout or per package. If you can also give some examples of the level of quality of layouts you are looking for, that would help.

Thanks

I was wondering what makes a layout package an MSRS package, infact I was going to post a topic about it but you beat me to it, I am thinking creating one.

As for what quality people are looking for, I'd say... the best at the best price!

I don't know exactly what makes a layout msrs compatible but all i can say for quality, is, think if you would EVER use a layout you make. If it looks like crap, and it looks like you just googled a background and made it repeat with some random tables, then i doubt anyone is going to use it so whats the use in even making it.

One mans crap is another mans gold.....

To make it MSRS compatible:

The css should be stored in a file called css.php, it should not contain links to the bg/contact table/network images, or the sites cornertag.

The images should be called:

bg.jpg(.gif)
network.jpg(.gif)
contact.jpg(.gif)

The thumbnail should be called thumb.jpg

All of this should be contained within a Directory, preferably something that describes the layout, eg Dark_Angel.

If your making a themed set then create a top level directory, eg "Movies", and then each layout is a directory inside of this, the top level directory (Movies) need to have an index file in it, but thats something that is copyright by Greg so I can't just make it public.

If your doing a set then you should also create a thumbnail (60x60) for the set, this belongs in a directory called thumbs that is at the same level as "Movies"

So you have this as a directory structure.

Layouts
Movies
Speed
StarGate_SG1
Trollz

thumbs

Hope I made it clear and understandable.
