PR4 350+ inbound links according to yahoo when you type in link:www.mydomain.com
only 1 visitor a day
I rank so poorly that when you type in my domain name in google im almost in the second page.
What do I need to do to rank higher?

$10 for 2k visitors is good, I would of expected you to get more visitors being on page 2 for that keyword though.

Page 40 ????
What script/site are you running cause most all MSRS sites that have been worked are higher then that.

I cheked my site and I am not in google at all for 'myspace layouts'
I think I have been sandboxed.
My site is:
4 months old
PR 4
indexed in google
360 links according to yahoo from myspace profiles using anchor text 'myspace layouts'
title tag contains 'myspacelayouts'
domain name contains 'myspace layouts'
This has to be a sandbox. There is no way my site can rank that poorly otherwise.
I also rank poorly in yahoo as well.
No visitors either.
Sucks

You are against 25 million other pages, you can't expect to get a good ranking just with a bunch of links and a title
And the ones in the top are the sharks that know what they are doing, so it takes a bigger shark to bump them down

"myspace layouts" is probably one of the hardest phrases to rank for. It's in the top 10 most searched terms!
You are better off going for a niche keyword phrase and then getting in with your layouts. Like "soccer myspace layouts" or something. Getting the top 10 on a lot of the possible niches is still a huge traffic draw and you will see many of the big sites sneaking in bogus pages titled with quite a few of those niches. Gives you an idea how they got there in the first place lol.

myspace layouts must be as difficult to rank as popular terms like mortgages and payday loans...

why would you even try to go for myspace layouts this key word is impossible unless you started your site 12 months ago...
I dont know how "http://www.myspacelayouts.us" has stayed in, trade mark infringement and all..

Another issue is poor payout. This guy ranks on page 2 yet only makes $10 a day which is a third world wage. not to belittle his accomplishment but if im gonna do SEO I better see more money than that.
The niche approach is a great idea. I am thinking of using auto page generating software to crank out 100 niche pages a week and just 'piggyback' them to my site. They contain no layouts but just the usual navigation structure.

Nothing is impossible for a good seo
some more tips here.
i have tried linking and some on page optimization but have never gotten much sucess with it.
another thing i want add here is
if someone has SEO knowledge to be in the top 10 google rankings for a good keyword. why choose a one that gets 3$ cpm against 100$ cpm.

I'm doing SEO on a site I enjoy and on a theme that is fun for me. I wouldn't bother trying to rank a site about loans or some other crap I have no idea about and will only bore me to death. What kind of original and interesting content could I add to a site about loans?
Boring... I would rather play around with some funny images and upload them to my myspace site.

Is that a fact? I'm sure it's doable with maximum effort. Plus the person who started this topic only started last month and is on page 2.

Where on page 2 is he but? he could be at the bottom of page 2 hence almost page 3...
google in different countries picks up different ranks aswell...
but yeah I guess its not impossible its doable. I am no SEO expert im new to SEO I am new to site design aswell ive only been in this business since the start of 2006, so I wouldn't bother taking advice from me lol...
All I know how to do is e-marketing.

The domain www myspacelayouts us was registered on june 2005.
It is owned by louis ramos- the same guy who owns pimpmyspace.org whihc is the most successful myspace resource site in existance. It ranks #3 in google for 'myspace'. The traffic generated is unfathomable.
Somehow he was fortunate enough and smart enough to create arguably the first resource site in October 2004 back when myspace was a much smaller site with only a comple million members.

Dam october 2004,
I only started using myspace in mid 2005...
Some people just get lucky with things I guess, he has had a very strong market share and I wonder how his adsense revenue is.
