Need a logo for my Social Bookmarking Site.

OK my Social Bookmarking site is almost finished in terms of design.

But the logo looks horrible. I need a more fun (BUT professional/web 2.0 looking) logo that I can really use to BRAND the site.

The logo needs to look good with the site design already in place.

You need to basically take this image http://qkin.com/custompligg/templates/yget/images/logobg.png remove the text already there and add a better logo. Then save it as that exact same size.

Anybody think they can come up with a great design for a logo for this site? This site is going to be huge, and your logo design work will be seen by a lot of people!

pligg is a turnkey digg-like software....so i would say qkin.com is the site

So you want the text removed but the background to remain? Is the site name written qKin, QKIN, qkin, QKin?
And do you have any specific colours you want?

The site is called what the logo says. BlogBookmark.com :)

It's just on that domain since the designer is finishing up the rest of the design.

I have another job for the winner of this one likely as well.

P.S. Dont be afraid to add some color to the logo. The logo doesn't have to be the exact same color it is right now. In fact I dont want it the same color completely.

I want it to pop out but at the same time look like it belongs with the site :)

I like the 2nd one (bottom) but the logo itself seems too big and is too close to the left edge of the design.

I'm not entering anything, but use the logo as you will. Hopefully someone can take it and make it better - or don't use it at all and my feelings won't be hurt ;)

Guys I'm having the original designer do something different to make this easier.

The designs I'm getting back are not matching the color perfectly. For example the logo you see on the site right now looks fine in FF but not in IE7. In IE7 the logo is a shade darker than the actual page design.

It might be the .png thing and transparency problem in IE.

SO I'm having the designer code it so the blue background part like this:

I really suck at logos, and I havn't slept in 36+ hours. But I could really use the money, so i gave it a shot.

Note: All the logo's will come transparent, the background is just to show you what it COULD look like. I can make almost any change(s). Again, the quality is much better as the original is a transparent PNG, while these examples are .jpg. :)
