i am using about 200 GB / month for my myspace site , i am planning to host my images at photobucket now , i will buy a Pro account for $50 .. it looks very weired that they charge only $50 for unlimited bandswidth ..
What is the catch with Photobucket ? Are they reliable enough for me to host my images there ?
Thx in advance :gunsmilie:

because it's not unlimited. Be sure to read the terms and such ;).
As far as reliable, I personally wouldn't feel safe trusting some other site to host my images when I have no power over it. All they have to do is delete them and all my users are screwed and their profiles are missing images. I've mentioned before that it would be nice to have some kind of script that you could use where you have two copies of each image...one on your local server as a safegaurd and then one on some free hosting service. Then the script would watch and if the image somehow got deleted or was down it would redirect the link to your local copy. That way you have outsorced hosting but the safegaurd of having it on your server too.
No idea at all how something like that could work, if at all...but it would be nice ;).

In the TOS somewhere it says that they will cut you off if you use excessive bandwidth, I think it was 10gig?? There is a thread here somewhere about it.

yeah, still you should read the tos, it says if you do 10x the average b/w of a pro account, then they will contact you to work something out.
