Is it common for people to sell works of others ? In th past 2 days i have purchased over 4000 glitters and of them several are duplicates, exact file replica with different names and some times even the names are the same.
Do artists sell each others glitters too ?

I have been purchasing glitters too. But I did not compare anything. Would like to know more about it.

It is actually quite common.

Some sellers buy their material elsewhere and sell it here at a markup, with claims that it is their own.

I'd never do that, but unfortunately, some people do.

Yeah most of the time, the great sellers here hardly ever give resell rights too. You'll find n occasional time when they do, but not that much.

Sucks, if ever in question, just post the question and at least someone would know if they are stolen goods or not.

Sucks though..

Alot of people, actually, do purchase glitters from other people with resell rights. If you are questioning it, it's always good to contact them directly and ask them if they are the owner and/or if they have resell rights. If they cannot provide proof, it's good to let us know who to avoid.

I completely agree. I never re-sell/as for re-sell rights of other people's glitters. I heard and excuse once that someone had got them mixed up with their own glitters, and though they'd made them themself.
1. It's not hard to remember your stye of glittering
2. It's not hard to keep the files separated.

Thanks for letting us know!

But they don't state this in their sales threads, and potential buyers will get the impression that they are buying materials that are unique to that particular seller's offerings.

Some sellers actually make such blatant statements as "I am working on these now", "I am almost done with these" and such, when the fact is that they are actually still in the process of gathering materials from several third parties.

Could not agree more that they are making these types of statements and I have had this happening to me a lot lately, which is why I am no longer buying glitters on MSP. I don't know who to trust anymore and I dont have time to play cat and mouse games chasing down the rats.

i do know some designers work with eachother and may have eachothers packs all messed up. jess and i sell packs that we've both worked on, but we bundle our work in to one pack so there's no confusion.

so its also possible that its just a mistake. but odds are, people are just selling others works. i've only given resell rights to my very first pack that had no words, just glitter images. so i better not see any of mine being resold ;)

edit//i HATE my ps right now. i could really just walk away from it for a week, that's how bad it stresses me out.
