my CPM on adsense is dropping little by little
I know it must be because of people who come back to the site, but at the same time I send quite a lot of new traffic to it everyday.
I don't see anything higher than $3.00 anymore but it's going lower than that as well.
This is on 25k+ hits

Mine has been dropping quite a bit lately as well (both cpm and ctr) on all my msypace sites. I seem to be getting more traffic, using more bandwidth but making less lately lol.
I hope it is a fluke and not some kind of trend...

I dont :)
Both eCPM and CTR are increasing....

i guess a fresh supply of new traffic can keep up the earning.
returning traffic will bring down both CTR and ecpm.

possibly, The other thing that I recently changed is the number of ads I display, I removed the google ads on the index page and replaced them with CPA ads....my CTR/eCPM on AdSense INCREASED and I've made more with CPA ads as well.
I expected a decrease but I got the opposite.

New traffic is the key... otherwise users get trained to avoid the ads.

your gross revenue has increased with this change?
if that is true and this continues over time than we have a good adsense alternative.

adsense is terrible with ecpm for myspace sites. i see terrible rates as low as 3 cents per click. i thought of blocking some sites from having their adds but havent figured out a way how to tell who is paying 5 cents per click :(

you cant do anything about it if your account is smartpriced.

Yes, I wouldn't consider completely replacing AdSense with CPA stuff, but I am now considering replacing my entire CPM inventory with CPA stuff for a month to see how it goes.
I need to do some work to make it happen across my entire network of sites, but it might just pay off really nicely. If it works like I hope and I get about a $10 eCPM then I'll be laughing (around 5 million page impressions across the entire network)

Maybe it is the way to go...
My main MSRS site is now averaging under $1 ecpm on google. I more than doubled the traffic in the past two week, almost doubled the clicks and I am earning the same....10% more clicks, 10% less EPC.... 20% more clicks, 20% less EPC ...etc.
It is like they decided to pay out a set fee.

AdSense eCPM on my MSRS sites averages around $3 eCPM, but I figure I can get around $10 eCPM in place of the average eCPM of .35 cents for CPM banners.
Even if I make a killing with CPA doing this, I won't remove AdSense from all of my sites, I like to have multiple streams in case one craps out.

what cpa network are you using mr geek.
i am an affilate with hydra network for some time but never had a site that could have used that kind of advertisment till now.
my current traffic is about 1k and i am making 10$ on my adsense for now.
3$ ecpm on impressions.

The only way your gona make $$$$$$$ with myspace resource site and contextual adverts is if you have a **** load of visitors. And I mean a **** load.
If you get 100K uniques a day and 500K pageviews then you can get a 2% crt and .03 EPC and make $300 a day with Adsense.
But you can make money other ways as well.

ted: I can't say I agree with your numbers, based on my experiences 500k should make at least $500 with adsense, adding CPA/CPM stuff and you make way more.
Of course if you have a crappy site layout and only get a 2% CTR then sure you'll make less. (I average 5-7% CTR with an eCPC almost double yours)
