Hey folks, was wondering if anyone has the line on this "rumor", that myspace now has a limit of 50 friend requests. I saw it posted on earner's forum and wondered what the word was around here.

I have started several profiles over the past week and have been doing requests rather casually so far. But last night I made another one and sent out like 300 requests right off the bat. Later that night my logins were not working for that account and they still aren't working. I guess that means I've been locked out, maybe because of this 50 request thing?

I don't know, maybe because it was just a brand new account and I started out with 300 requests =p But just the other night I did a batch of like 200 or so on another account and everything seems fine.

Just trying to get a feel for it so I know how to handle my profiles now. Thanks for any input.

Ok, looked into it a bit more and I may have misunderstood what I was reading. I think the 50 request is the limit set before encountering the captcha crap. Right now I don't really know. Just wondering what everyone else is encountering now. Earners forum people are saying BA and adderrobot are being stopped at 50 then running into captcha. Guess I just got locked out because I fired off 300 requests from a spanking new acct =p

your account might be in bann for doing 300 instantly.
as far as adderrobot goes i had problems with capatcha on thrusay but then it started working fine on friday.
so i am guessing its just a myspace server problem happens all the time.
my accounts are 15 days old and i dont do more than 250 friend requests on alternate days just to be on the safer side.

i have also seeded a couple of profiles over the last week so that these will mature in time to come. it doesnt take a dime to have a profile created.

I don't see it as a catchpa problem as such.
Over the last 3 days while requesting it always throws a catchpa up at the 50 mark and again every 10 after that.It is still the same using a proxy so it seems to me that it is an account thing...ie max 50 requests.

I did a small experiment and took 2 of the profiles that it asked me for catchpa on the 50th request and the following day tried to add them as friends manually.Guess what........ no catchpa! So it seems that myspace is throwing the catchpa in on accounts where the owner has specified none after you have made a cetain no. of requests. In my case it seems to be 50.

Heads up to anyone who can get around this one.

I dont see how any software can get around this.It is imposed per account by Myspace.Max friend requests 50 per day per account.Your 51st req will always have a catchpa and every 10 after that. The same goes for posting comments.Even if the software skips the catchpa on to the next one it will still be there.

If this get around the 50 requests before catchpa I'll eat my hat..........and buy it.:gunsmilie:

The catchpa is set in the myspace code........you can skip as many of them as you like but you will only be able to do 50 without inputting catchpa.

Yes it searches G for a term you stipulate then goes through the results page by page requesting them as friends.

Very good way of building specific interest profiles.
