:2guns: I was in my ftp and I pressed one wrong key, and My WHOLE layout CMS directory is just erased. Good thing I have a backup right? Well yeah I have a backup, but I'm missing the thumbs from about 30-40 layouts and so now I've got to go back and screenshot all of them again.

But before I realized I had a backup and that the layouts weren't all gone, I realized what I'd done and my heart just stopped. I almost died right then and there. I just reallly hate when things don't go my way.

Omg that happen to me all the time. To but to bad i don't back up :( even if i did back up my mom would just delete it :( but thats good u back up ur site :) well hope everything goes smooth :)

Yup I always my site, a perfectly updated copy on my desktop, and a backup copy zip on my second PC hard drive that is never more than 3 - 4 days older than the last time i made changes

why don't you just use a ftp client which confirms before you delete stuff. Smartftp has that by default but you can turn it off :/ but don't do that.

Most web mr/ms`s uses Smart ftp (http://smartftp.com/) :D its fast and easy to use :D

I DID use SmartFTP.
And I was the idiot who turned off the deletion notifications.

I use BestFTP explorer... but it sucks. the only reason I use it is because it has an editor made into it.

I use FTP Commander aswell never had any problems with deleting all the files becuase you cant im pretty sure it only lets you deleted one at a time...their no key to delete all lol..

I mean its easy to use and pretty much problem free....only has some log in issues at times...
