Wordpress. Then just install this mod (http://www.netconcepts.com/seo-title-tag-plugin/) and you're set.

yea wordpress is the best. Way more features for a full blogging site.

I use cutephp for my news management on my myspace sites though.

Does your host offer fantastico script installer?

That's the easiest way to go about it.

thats how i set mine up. all you have to do is click a few buttons, type a few bits of text and bingo! its installed. and upgrading the software is easy. unzip the the upgrade, upload it, execute upgrade and again its done.

best blogging software ive used. the other 2 ive used were greymatter - sucked so much, takes up alot of resources too, and cutenews - way before it became popular.

CuteNews is full of security holes. x.x And their captcha plugin stops me from being able to comment on sites with it installed. >.<

I've used cutenews. It's very easy to use, but while I was using it, I'd never heard what carlee just said.

The installation is really easy. Just make a mysql database. Then edit wp-configsample, change it to wp-config and edit the data. Then you just go to your site and you will go through a few steps installing. Seriously it's probably the easiest script I've ever installed.

I used to use cutenews but mine was hacked somehow, not sure how...it was a while ago. I moved to wordpress and haven't looked back since. It's relatively good for search engines too and there are plenty of plugins that can add to the functionality and all that.

Wordpress is actually really easy to install, it's just the themes that might take a bit of effort. I really can't explain things well but if anyone can work their way through my tutorials they might help...

I don't really consider cutenews a blogging system. You can mod it for SEO though (but then again you can mod any other script).

Wordpress without a doubt.

I use wordpress and hand coded pages...So, like WP on the index.php page then just hand coded all the other pages and I am now PR1 for EVERY important keyword in my niche, and I really think Wordpress helped somewhat with me getting where I am today! :D

You definitely should look to Wordpress (http://wordpress.org/) and Moveable Type (http://www.movabletype.org/)

are both very se-friendly. :)

I use cutenews and it sucks. It crashes unexpectedly and is unpredictable. Not very reliable.
