Unfortunately for me, but perhaps fortunately for you I am selling my pride and joy. The biggest site I have yet to run and the product of nearly a years hard work. Below are the details.

Site Details:
URL: MunchMyspace.com
Pagerank: 4 (Predicted 5)

Monthly Earnings:
Adsense: $74 p/m
Valueclick Media: $75 p/m

Total: $150 p/m

Monthly Statistics:
Average based on last 3 months stats.

Average Uniques: 36000 p/m
Average Pageviews: 158000 p/m

Script:
Site is running on a heavily modified version of Greg-J’s MSRS script.

Design, customization:
MunchMyspace.com comes with a completely unique design seen nowhere else. It has an attractive look and a already established logo with the face. Overall it is a unique, memorable site. Not your average site.

The script has also been edited, compare the layout pages, the categorie pages and the generators pages for examples of his. It doesn’t look like every other MSRS.

Additionally, I have worked on SERPs generating currrently all traffic with no paid advertisement. All organic or link exchanges.

This alone would cost over $200-300 to have done to your site.

Content:
600+ Layouts
200+ Glitters
Unique, custom built surveys. With the ability to copy and easily create many more!
Plus Generators, Tools, Images

Again, much content bought and created adding $$ of content to the site.

My reccomended buyer?
Someone looking to add to their network. I mean with a little cross promotion this site will generate some huge revenue. This is well worth the investment. I think revenue could be doubled with only a little more traffic.

With all of the above combined what is on offer is a lot of hard work and I am sad to see it go. If the right price isn’t offered I will continue to build this site. But with my time straining and I can feel the site being abandoned.

Please make sensible offers, starting the auction with a minimum of $500.

I will not disclose BIN at this time but please be respectable.

All bids posted or PM’s (for anominity) will be accepted.

Best of luck, any questions or proof needed just PM or post,
Dean

$500 form me pending adsene, traffic and Valueclick stats. Please include the referrers for your traffic.

I just noticed that you have extreme tracker on your site. The traffic on there is only 500 to 600 a day? Can you explain the average of 36000 a month?

Here are the last 3 months from extreme tracker:

Mar 17068

Apr 31507

May 23481

@adsdisengaged: Ive lost alot of SERPs and traffic lately as I have been working less and less. With some work I was on page 1 for tiny myspace layouts for example, but i dont have the time. It can be regained easily I think.

@quickbeam: My stats are from Webalizer, dont actually use Extreme as I dont like its simplicity. I cant explain why they are giving such different results, nor which is the most accurate.

Thanks for the bids everyone so far.

Keep them coming :)

Please can you say whether you have bought any links to the site and whether these require updating.

Thanks

Dean

Currently there are no paid links to the site. Just around 8 link exchanges and the rest is organic.

Thanks treacle,

Can whateverlife PM me about this matter to discuss further. If this affects anything I have stated in the original post I will post here.

However, until I have discussed with her this then please leave this thread free of this and purely on the sale of the site.

Thanks everyone.

are you also selling the PSD of the logo so if someone wanted to change the layout, etc. they could?

Dean
June 13th, 2007, 05:12 PM
Its currently hosted on my VPS, I can help with the move to your hosting. It doent need a VPS and works fine on shared hosting but I needed a VPS for other sites.

It comes with PSDs for almost all design aspects, logo, header, background, navigation backgrounds and so on.

Also unrelated can any more bids please increase bids by more than $10 a go we could be here a long time going from 550 to a respectable bid at this rate. Remember the site is valued at a minimum of 8 or 10 times its monthly revenue ignoring other aspects so this site could easily go for alot more. If my reserve isnt met here ill take it to DP and SP but I wanted to offer here first.

Thanks for the interest.

$570 ... and thats probably it from me ... I'm even stretching it to go that high, it's got Myspace in the title, Myspace resource sites aren't selling for high figures anymore because there is every chance Myspace will pull the plug on them. They have been implementing new measures that indicate thats the direction they are heading in.
Your keywords are dropping in the serps Traffic is dropping and it's not easy to regain these.

we could be here a long time going from 550 to a respectable bid at this rate
These are respectable bids, I'm not wasting my time playing a bidding game, my initial bid was for what I think it's worth and anything I have bid above that is basically me throwing money away. I own quite a few Myspace Resource sites so understand the valuations and judging from the other people bidding I know they know how to value a resource site as well.

So yes by all means take it to DP and Sitepoint but I think you will end up even more disappointed.
If you manage to get 2k for it I will be extremly happy for you, best of luck mate

Your site also is violating ValueClick's TOS by having two 300x250 banners as well as small rectangles on each page (so the revenue will be lower than stated in first post).

That's not true :)

but only one Medium Rectangle ad can appear per page view

but only one Rectangle ad can appear per page view.

There is a difference ;)

Myspace resource sites aren't selling for high figures anymore because there is every chance Myspace will pull the plug on them.

Doubtful and if they did it would be the end for them, imagine myspace without all the fancy designs, without us they never would have gained popularity.

I strongly believe this is why friendster and hi5 lack because webmasters have no desire to get too involved with offering resources.

Why? They just lack the simplicity myspace has when it comes to so called "pimping it out"

Anyway back to the topic here, dean have you decided a BIN?

So tell me this isn't a move in that direction ....
i found a new feature the extended networks here is a preview of how they will start to look if u dont have a edit one
theres been other stuff going on as well that shows they are definately heading in that direction.

Yes, and theres two medium rectangles and two small rectangles per page view

I have had just another site accepted by Valueclick and havent had any contact from them about this. I actually didnt realise this was against their TOS. However, if you replace the large rectangles with Adsense I am almost certain you'd earn the same figure per month.

Ok onto the other questions :)

Explain what whateverlife said????
not if you have stolen content. you may need to clear that up

I am in contact with whateverlife now, and as I stated before I will post if the outcome of our conversation alters anything. If for example it doesnt then it is simpy nothing to do with this thread.

As far as I am concerned all my content was bought on various forums, if someone sold me stolen content then we'll deal with that.

Please no more posts concerning this, bids on "condition there are still same amount of content" is fair enough if you are worried about this.

I own quite a few Myspace Resource sites so understand the valuations and judging from the other people bidding I know they know how to value a resource site as well.

Well I also think if you owned a few resource sites you would understand that the traffic and SERPs I have lost can easily be regained by directing a bit of traffic in your networ or using some revenue to generate more traffic. I believe you could get this site back up to its peak at 3000UV and therefore regain the SERPs I had. This drop in traffic is simply the only difference and reason for losing some SERPs.

But remember most traffic today is from SE's so there is still good rankings for this site.

Decided on a bin?

I dont have a BIN in mind yet but am not planning to sell this site for less than 8 months revenue. This would mean only offers above the $1k mark would have a chance of being accepted.

Hope this clears everything else up.

Thanks,
Dean

That's at the buyers expense, you can only sell a site on the here and now, not crystal ball gazing into the future  .

1k well thats definately me out of the running.

you might have not been making money on this site because the navigation bar is broken in ie 6. It's all the way at the bottom of the page.

Current highest bid is $750 through PM.

I will fix the IE6 error for the new owner.

Can you also let me know whether this bug is throughout the site or purely on the main page?

Also to note, I am making money on the site :P
