Can the age of the thread be added to this forum?

There are a lot of old threads that are bringing posted on and it would be helpful to look at the post and know how long ago the thread was started.

thanks,

Precious

Yeah, this would be cool. You can see the date it was started, but not the age. I've seen the thread age on another forum awhile back, way before MSP came out :P

I just added that. It will give a notice if a thread is at least more than 30 days old.

Does this work in the marketplace. I was looking at the below thread and I did not see a warning.

Great first impression. Is this how you try to fit in when you join forums? Why don't you go play under a train instead?

I doubt there is much room under there since you obviously like to play there yourself..that was uncalled for

What's wrong with posting and trying to get your count to 15 the new topics?

All newbies do is posts pointless off topic posts in OLD *** threads, just to get their count up to 15 to buy a marketplace thread, or just for the heck of it. It's annoying.

well gee since I am a newbie they are ALL new to me..some of you aren't very nice and that is annoying

It's just the way you said it, like you wanted attention or something. Plus, there's huge letters that say:

Attention: Last reply in this thread was more than X Month(s) ago

No I actually wasn't looking for attention I was trying to be somewhat funny without being offensive which some of you don't seem to know how to do..and if you don't like posts in old threads then why bother looking at them..and if you are trying to be funny, I do not know you and I am new to this site and your first impression did not come off well. I am here for the same reason as everyone else. I would like to get to know everyone as well .. If you are the pro at first impressions then post a NEW topic that we can all join in and no one will be annoyed, eh?

That comeback has been used many times in this forum. It's actually quite funny and I can tell what type of person you just by reading that. I'm sure a few people know what I'm talking about.

Thers nothing wrong with bringing old threads back, most of the stuff in them is relevant.

All newbies do is posts pointless off topic posts in OLD *** threads, just to get their count up to 15 to buy a marketplace thread, or just for the heck of it. It's annoying.I remember you doing exactly the same thing when you joined up here ... in fact the Mods said "keep an eye on mrs brightside when she get's to 15 posts cause she might be about to start spamming"

I'm not having a go at you Tonya, I just your your and other peoples comments in this thread funny

I posted "thank you" in all the "NEW" freebies I didn't digg up old threads, thank you.LOL ... and you think posting thank you in 15 freebie threads is better than posting something in an old thread that might be of interest to the majority of the members  rofl

mrs brightside
December 5th, 2007, 05:15 AM
Yes better than posting off topic.

There really needs to be a rule of some sort on this kind of thing...

Bringing up old topics is so annoying....

Say thanks in freebies instead.....

I still stand by my suggestion about Thread Grave Digging...... :)

If simply seeing an old thread dug up every now-and-then negatively effects your mood, you need to re-evaluate some things in your life and place a lot less importance on the small stuff.

People know if they're digging up an old thread when they post in it so it's not on accident. Pissing and moaning about it after the fact isn't going to change that and it's not going to stop anyone from doing it in the future. I'm not going to automatically close a thread after a certain amount of time either. So you see, there's nothing positive that's going to come of complaining about it.

<sarcasm>I love how welcoming some of you are to new members who do some of the very things you did when you were new too...</sarcasm>
