I have a bad cold from playing in the rain the other day, I haven't slept in about 3 days now, I'm literally living off of coffee. [And I'm only 13 :P ] I have so much work to do today, I can't afford to doze off. I have bags under my eyes from lack of sleep over the past month. Ugh, right now, the only thing keeping me awake is drinking 5-6 cups of coffee every half hour, and blaring Britney Spears in the ears [No, I don't like Britney Spears, she's just keeping me awake]. I babysit all day today, tomorow, and so on. And I know if I fall asleep, my house will probably be on fire because I have a crazy little brother.
I am so grounded after I'm done with all this work, I'm not supposed to be online after 1 am [I've been staying on all night, every night trying to work for money] :whistling: This is what I look like right now --> :sleep1: :online2long:
Okay, done complaining, back to work now :P

Awwww x[ sounds like you're over-working yourself! Maybe you should ask your mum if she can go and get some pills that'll help you to sleep?
Hope this helped!

I have depression and I have very big sleeping issues. Like I can go 2-4 days with no sleep and feel fine, it's just ive been working and all for the past 72 hours :P i do have Tylenol PM's that I take sometimes when I want to sleep, I'm going to sleep good tonight [hopefully]. The coffee and loud music is helping keep me awake though :P

Okay, thanks for the suggestions Amehh :) My mom is actually forcing me to go to sleep tonight, she's actually getting the internet shut off for the night, so it's like im being banned from the computer :P But she's only doing it so I don't get over-exhausted and have a seziure or something

First, log off MySpacePros, you will get so much more done without the distraction.
As for the coffee, I can't impress enough about how much harm you are doing to a 13 year old body. You need to slepp more, get out more, play some kind of sport.
I have left the home schooling alone when I have seen you mention that in the past but for you, I think it's the worst option. You need to be out in the worls, not locked away in a room with a computer 24/7.
I admire and commend you for what you are trying to do for your family but your not going to be any good to them in a few years time if you keep this up.
Go to bed, give your body and mind the rest they need, get up tomorrow and get out and about for a bit, then come back to the computer, don't log onto here, and you will find you will get more work done in a couple of hours than you have over the last three days.
Lecture over LOL.

Haha, I normally go on a 12 mile bikeride about 2-3 times a week. It's alot of exercise for me. Before I realized how the internet worked, I was in soccer and wrestling for about 2 years. It was fun. My doctors won't let me play sports anymore though, I have spinal scoliosis and I need all that crap done to my back to get it right again.
I'm always afraid that if I log off of MSP, I'll something. But I'm going to get off here soon to get some work done. :P Thanks for the lecture cyclops

true.. never ever give up the normal school into home school (unless for some great issues) :) in my opinion "almost" all home schooled ppl loose confidence and are not good in interacting w/ other ppl.. well that's just for me..

Trust me, sleep is your friend. Despite your feelings of wasted time, or the feeling that you could be getting so much more done. 16 hours of motivated, inspired, well rested work, will be much more profitable than 24 hours of tired, lazy, half-assed work. I've learned that.
Since my sleep has gone out of whack I've lost touch with my friends lately, whereas when I was sleeping normally I found I was doing more social things and that was helping my motivation. But since I've been sleeping til 1pm everyday lately, its really hard to go out and still have time to do work too. If you sleep at the normal times you will get what you need to get done. Even getting 5-6 hours of sleep is better than 0 hours.
All that coffee cannot possibly be good for you. I drink 1 redbull per day during school but don't even bother with it during the summer because I know how bad it is for me and only use it when its necessary.

you're too young to have these problems. Dont drink that much coffee, thats why you probably feel antsy when trying to sleep. give yourself a break, you're not obligated to pay the bills, be a 13 year old, you will have the rest of your life to worry about money.

Awe thanks guys, after alot of thinking, I decided to go to bed at 2 PM yesterday, and I just woke up [12 hours later]. I am feeling the effects of 3 days of no sleep. My throat hurts like heck, I'm sore all over, and my head feels like someone pounded it with a sledgehammer. But I feel a lot better than yesterday.
Anyway, thanks for the support everyone :)

Geeze! You kids! Actually, my kids as well come to think of it. You all seem to think you can push your bodies to exhaustion and simply shake it off. It doesn't work like that. :hammer:
Dale, I might have to ban you for your own good - maybe after 11pm or something like that. :punchout:
And stop drinking so much coffee. And get some rest. And, and, ...,
Seriously, don't drive yourself into the ground like that. As has already been pointed out, a few hours of well rested work is usually much more productive than 24 hours of exhausted work.
And go act your age as well. You're allowed to.
Not so good to hear you have scoliosis - is it bad? Minor deformation? Going to get worse? What? :(

Jeeze, mcfox, you're worse than my dad about me staying up late ROFL
The scoliosis was discovered last year at one of those stupid "Stay in Shape" things at my school. They had to test our vision, hearing, blood pressure, and back. I was one of the only ones that had scoliosis, there might've been like 2 others out of my whole school. My scoliosis is getting worse, last time it was checked was.. February 2006? My stupid doctor told me to wait about 6 months to go back, but he quit before we went back. And that was when we lived in Ohio, we moved to Louisiana in September 2006. I had to help with the moving and all because my dad and mom are divorced and he was in prison at the time. Plus, before we moved, I had to help my sister move across the street from her house [there was NO moving van, only myself and her fiance were doing any moving] and she had like a king size bed, a 200-lb entertainment center, etc. etc. Anyway, I can only imagine how bad my back looks now. :P My spine looked like a snake over a year ago, probably looks worse now.
But yeah, I can't play sports or anything and I can't lift over 50 lbs or something.

Might be stupid but it picked up your scoliosis. ;)

What about seeing another doctor? You need to. You must. It may be possible to intervene to stablize your condition.

My last doctor said that it will probably just get worse and worse, which at the time didn't make anything better. ROFL It sounds kind of funny now if you think about it. I'm just scared I'll have to be in a wheelchair or one of those halo things where they put screws through your head and all and you have this thing holding you up. Ekk. I'm supposed to go to the dentist too, it's been over 2 years since my last appointment [I have really good teeth though, so no worries] but my mom has to work and is gone 11 hours a day to work, it sucks :\

 YAY I am now sure that I am still a kid.
My daughter already went to bed and I am still working. I run myself into the ground, but this is how I get ahead. I drink coffee like it is a life line, if only I could mainline the stuff. Sleep IS a HUGE waste of time and very unproductive. No one ever got ahead being in bed unless they were a protistute (can I say that here? LOL) The reason we have fast food and microwave meals is so we can eat and work at the same time.
Com'on people don't listen to this old fogy! rofl

I learned that during this school year. I'd go to school from 6:30-2:30, usually have student council or some other thing to stay after school for until about 4. At the time I was working at subway and about 3 of the 5 weekdays i'd be at work from 4-9. come home do homework from 9 until god knows when, sometimes 11-12 at night. Go to sleep, wake up at 5:30 AM again.
Redbull is my BFF during school. I don't really LIKE to stay up late, but once my sleep schedule is out of order, it takes forever to go back. And when it finally is back, I sleep at one of my friends houses who keep me up until all hours of the night. But during school, i'd drink a redbull and usually drink 2-3 cokes while at school too because i just wouldn't stay awake if i DIDNT have it.

Which is why monitoring the progression (if any) is a necessity. It may well be possible to intervene at an earlier stage so it doesn't get anything like as bad as wheelchair / halo thing.

I agree. It's definitely NOT a good idea to just leave it alone and hope its not getting any worse. My best friend has a heart condition and for awhile she just took her medication and didn't really go to the doctor for awhile. Then the next time she went to the doctor he told her that he wasn't sure how her heart was still beating and that its so weak that it should've stopped by now and that she needed a bit of surgery done, and needed to switch medications because the medication could be making it worse.
I think its very important that you are informed about the status of your medical issue. I don't know much about scolliosis but you should definitely get it checked out.

My mom works like 6 days a week, and like is bad about making appointments, so I'll just have her run me to the hospital on Thursday to get my back checked. I hate getting xrays :P Knowing my luck, I'll go and they'll say it got worse or something else is wrong. Ekk, that would suck.
My mom needs to take about a week off so she can catch up on all my appointments. I have doctors, dentist, psychiatrist[sp?], etc. Plus, she needs to get me on meds for my depression. Too much stuff to keep up with.

My little brother has that, Hes only 3, but hes being wearing a brace since he could walk.
His brace was like a cast for when you break your arm or whatever around his upper body, (not his arms, neck or head), but recently hes got a new one on and its much lighter and easier to move around with, and its removable (the other one wasn't) so he can have a bath now (With the other one he had to wash in the sink cos it couldn't get wet).. His back as straightened up allot, but he still has many years off hospital treatment and such to have done to it. Get it done now, The sooner you get a brace on the sooner you can take it off.
I'm actually doing a sponsored swim in a few weeks time to raise money for people with scoliosis. My mum is doing a ten mile walk, my aunty is going on a 12 hour fast and my little brothers school is going for a walk around the town.
You wont end up in a wheelchair if you get it sorted now, Please do, you'll regret it if you don't.
Sorry about the sleep thing. Hope you get it sorted out :winkiss:

I'm sorry that your brother has it, scoliosis sucks. What's even worse is, alot of people don't even know what it is :P That's good you guys are doing sponsored things though :) No one in Louisiana does anything like that, it'd be awesome if they did though. When I lived in Ohio, we had all kinds of fundraisers and stuff. It was fun.
Oh yeah, if anyone didn't see, i got 12 hours of sleep [2pm to 2am] woot woot.
