View Full Version : Can someone give me one free MSRS layout?

OK not being a cheapo here ... This is my reason:

My site has no layouts on it at all, and I'm working on an upload automation script before I even put layouts up. Since so many people sell MSRS ready layouts, I'm thinking it might be best if I just make the upload script compatible with MSRS. I've already figured out how to make my own format, but since I don't even KNOW what an MSRS ready layout looks like, using the MSRS ready format might be easier.

Can someone give me one free MSRS layout? It can be the worst one you have ... I won't even be uploading it to my site. I just would like to know its structure.

I've already built an import script for MSRS formatted layouts

directory => name of layout

files in that directory => css.php, thumb.gif, bg.gif, network.gif, contact.gif

I don't own an msrs site though. I wanted the MSRS formatted layout so I can either write a script compatible w/ the msrs format or make my own format. The advantage of MSRS format is of course that when I purchase an MSRS formatted layout, I can just upload and go.

The script is designed to read MSRS layouts. I've tied it to my CMS which is not an MSRS script

Is your script freely available? I figure the purpose of it is to do the same thing mine will ... read the layout, generate a preview and all the necessary links?

I guess I'll write mine on my own. I think modding your script to fit my page will take just as long as writing mine, and I want to write one script to automate uploads for the entire site, i.e. not just layouts.

I'm also thinking of marketing a script once I'm done w/ it.

in that case, you definitely should develop one yourself...my script would not come with resell rights
