I keep up with digg once a day. It's a good measure on the temperature of the entire industry in a snapshot. Any youtube videos I see are ones that made it to the front page of digg.

That's pretty awesome. Is this safe though? My friends make some type of bomb with hot ice.

You need some water (preferably warm/hot water), a few shards of dry ice and a plastic bottle with a cap. Put the dry ice in and enough water to cover the ice. put the cap on and get the hell away from it.
You can get 10 pounds of dry ice from your local ice distributor for a couple bucks and it'll last all day. Be careful though, that stuff can get dangerous.

haha yeah we did that in chemistry. we played with dry ice the whole hour the last day it was pretty sweet! we made dry ice bubbles and when you pop them, smoke comes out its neaaaaat just make sure you were like heavy duty gloves so you wont get burnt
