I know absolutely NOTHING about sitemaps. I was just told to make one, so I am. lmao!

When setting up a 'free' one, i'm giving the follow questions...

Change frequency


Priority


...What do those mean and what should I put there? Thank youuu!

Change frequency tells google how often that page is updated, priority is so you can specify certain pages as being more important

Both are optional and you dont even need them so just leave them set at the defaults

and what version should i upload to my site? xml, txt, html, etc. :)

for a google sitemap use the xml version babe and make sure to upload it to the same directory as your sites index file
