You can only have so many bars so as your rep points go up you need more points to fill each bar :)

For example - it will only take 2 reps to get to the second bar. Then 3 reps to get to the 3rd bar, then 4 reps to get to the 4th bar - etc. (Example only, I don't know the real numbers) so I'm wondering if maybe you just started getting alot of rep so it's adding it up and waiting til you get more to get a new bar? I'm not sure but I can safely say you didn't lose any due to negative.

Yep. Once you get to a certain amount of reps and bars it squidges them all into 3 bars so you can recieve more :)

Rep works on a points system. To be honest, I'm not sure what the points are on this forum (yes, I know I should but I don't :stuart: ).

The points system is set from inside the Admin Section of vBulletin by the Admins. The points = green blobs. The Admins set the trigger for how many points = green blob and I believe Greg changed the threshold so that more points were required to get a green blob.

It isn't a reflection on anyone, it is more about setting the thresholds in such a way that reputation is earned over time and nobody gets 5 green blobs overnigh from a few reps sort of thing.

There is no negative showing , therefore a mod did it! I own several VB licenses and know how it works. The mods here are just shady.

Yes the bars have changed due to needing more rep points to fill each bar BUT the points will not have changed unless at some point a negative rep was recieved.

Then you must have recieved a negative rep at some point. Although the negative rep gets removed the points don't get re-added it's just the way the system works.

Often it's better to leave the message in place in case we need to discuss it - as mods, we can see the message but you shouldn't be able to - for a moment there I thought everyone was seeing these fugly 'message has been deleted' messages.
