Just got myself signed up with a server from wiredtree.com so now I get to have fun moving 7 sites, 4 databases, and something like 70k files to my new server fun fun.

Now I can finally get all my domains under one roof lol

Team the servers with ftp and poof it's over there... Use it's max power between the two even if the old thing is hosted...

Screw ever paying for a backup site, just use a cheap hosting account with like 200gb they give yeah and shoot your stuff from your main server to the hosting account. Call it a mini colo... atleast for data just put up a bs page to have a site in case they cry or something,

(hehe)

hope you are doing all that through ssh or something that ftps from server to server... 70k files done from your hd would suck big time!

EDIT: actually i just copy over the accounts from server to server using cpanel.

I am with wiredtree's dedicated plan and not really very satisfied with them. Thinking about moving to softlayer next month.

not related to just myspace sites, but my sites, domains and files are not very organized either, but since they kind of are all non related or have to be on the "type" of server they are on, i cant really just organize to one server

well this is my first server so anything will be better than shared hosting or VPS. As for transfering files it will be the old fashion desktop to server ftp way as my other previous hosts did not us Cpanel though I have it on this new server. Not a big deal I always keep complete backups right on my PC so all I have to do is upload them and I can do about 50mb in ten minutes with my old shared host so I should be able to do it even faster with this server.

Congrats on your move. It is nice having all your sites at one spot :)

I have been with them for over 1 month now and have not received any downtime and my sites are always fast at loading up and support always seems to answer me back within 5 minutes. I'll never look back at dreamhost again.

Hiya Jason

I have just gone with one of Wired Tree's hybrid servers and had about 30 sites to move from another host. Wired Tree actually did the move over for me as my previous host also had cpanel.

You may have asked them already, but I find them very helpful.

Nice - I just signed up to their hybrid solution also... the other one seem so expensive! :(

About how much traffic you think the hybrid dedicated server that wiredtree.com can handle?

The rep I spoke to said at least 25k a day in traffic

That seems very low. If it's a dedicated server, it can probably handle 100k to 200k if you set it up right.

I have 14 dedicated servers scattered all over the place. My favorite host is theplanet.com.
