Group assignments at college!!!

ok I am currently a full time student doing marketing and advertising.

thing is we have alot of group style assignments..

Today we had this massive assignment due for "direct marketing"...I have 3 people in my group...we had all the sections split up....every thing was due today and this one kid calls me going his printer is stuffed up....then a whole bunch of other excuse....

today we had to hand in his section like 1 hour late and we lost like 20% of our total mark....

soo cut this was a majior assignment....

sick of dam group work, I know we should ahve had this **** organised better but it was just unlucky...

I totally hate group assignments and waiting for other people to do work :@

when i was in college we had a lot of group projects. accounting case studies mostly, which are like the most boring things on the planet. I hated them so much because I didn't trust anyone in the group and usually volunteered to do the whole project for the group... so, I never really learned to work in a team or any of that garbage... I agree with you; group work is stupid.

Yeah just wait until you're at work and you are in a group of people who don't know what they are doing :)

I know you need to develop group related skills for the workplace, but I don't understand why they have all the main assignments based on group work.

little assignments worth nothing should be group work, it sucks when one person screws up and the whole groupis taken down aswell...
