So what do you think? I always see these sites with the crappiest myspace layouts and they are ranking number 1 for all kinds of keywords and get 100,000 uniques per day because they have thousands of crappy layouts that contain just a background and ugly transparent tables yet this gets them way more keywords indexed in google and the higher quality sites with less layouts but higher quality with 3 actual images to them get the short shaft because we have less keywords built up.

so what do you think, should I just start adding a bunch of crappy layouts to my site to build up a broader range of keywords?

Crappy sites also have a better CTR cause everyone just wants to leave the site :P

Those sites are winning in the SERPS through their incoming links and perhaps age of those links.

A younger site has to offer superior content in order to attract more incoming links.

So patience and perseverance!!
