Does IE process Gzip files differently than FF.....I have a site that had 2 rather large external .js files so I Gzip'ed them which made them like 1/5 their original size. This seems to work great in FF speeding up the page load time by over 5 seconds but with IE it seems to have greatly increased the sites load time if it even loads at all.
When I go to look at the site in IE I can let it sit and load for over 15 seconds (3mb connection) and get nothing. Then I close IE and reopen it and go to the site and it pops right up.
Current load times
F.F. - 3 - 5 seconds
I.E. - 15 seconds+
I have noticed that IE has been acting up on me lately so maybe its just me.....My site is going to be used for Myeeos so I do not want to post the URL on the board but if some people wouldn't mind checking to see if they get the same results let me know and I will PM you the URL.
