Argh. My hard disk is failing in my new laptop (3 month old XPS1710). It was nice enough to tell me, but still I have to replace the HD and reinstall all my development software. That takes almost a full day. Dell shipped my new HD and I'll spend most of the day tomorrow getting back to where I should have been yesterday. The good news is I got the full CS3 suite in the mail today, so I won't have to call Adobe and Macromedia to transfer my authorizations.
Luckily I also have more computers than fingers, so I can still get on the forums. ;)

That is sickening, when that happens to me I just buy a new computer/phone etc. because I cant be bothered fixing something that is prone to break again. In fact I just dropped $600 on a new blackberry so I didnt have to do the contract bs, and 2 days later my old one started working again by itself.

Isnt there like a 3 day return policy on that ??

I think you have 3 days to change your mind on all contracts you sign for goods. May wanna look into it.

Let me guess. Maxtor / toshiba hard disk? Those LOVE to die!
Seagate barracuda are the most stable atm =p But uh, what helps it GREATLY is NOT letting it overheat? haha. Get a laptop cooler =)
