No, I wouldn't. For one, they don't give refunds and they don't offer as much as other hosts with their packages! Hmph!
I reccommend Host Gator (http://www.hostgator.com).

What do you mean don't recommend other hosts? What's the point in answering without giving you a batter alternative because honesly godaddy sucks for hosting. Their servers are slow slow slow slooooowwwwwww.

GoDaddy sucks. It's a pain if you're dealing with MYSQL.

When you are signing up for a webhost, don't let them fool you. They can promise you whatever they want. But once you start to get a lot of visitors and consume their server resources, you will be in big trouble. Trust me, its really a big headache to move site.

I use Globat (http://www.globat.com). It's great, there's a generous amount of bandwidth and there's alot of extras. It's pretty cheap too :D

I dont see why everyone rips on GoDaddy's hosting so hard...
I once ran a website with them for about a year that saw 10,000-20,000 uniques per day. I was on their economy plan and I never once had a problem with bandwidth or anything. No slow downs ever.
Plus, when I sold the site and we had some trouble with the DNS servers , GoDaddy sat on the phone with me until it was fixed at 12 in the morning. They were very patient and they solved the problem.
So to sum it up, I never experienced a single problem.

God no, globat is the wrath of my existance. I'm currently with them and they charged my credit card before the actual date (and i had auto-renewal OFF) and so I'm stuck with them for another damn year. They are horrible and their support personnel are so dumb :/
Surpass are great, as is HostGator but I don't like Godaddy at all. They're great and easy for domains but not good at all for hosting.

Surpass out of all the hosts I've had has been the best.
I trust godaddy with domains, But not with my hosting. lol

I use godaddy for a few of my smaller sites and I haven't had any issues so far. They have always been prompt to address any support questions I have asked them.
But yes, webmasters do not recommend it for big/high traffic websites.

Go daddy is ok for running small sites, true I dont knwo why people act liek their **** becuase their ok if the site is small but if the site is getting ok traffic and it uses a bit of bandwidth then dont use godaddy....
Good things about go daddy are they are cheap and have ok service, I know they can be slow at times and yeah some other aspects suck about them but seriously their not like TOTALLY **** their OK...
Ive got sites with godaddy just some small ones, medium ones with host gator and also some medium with the plannet.
Seriously ive never had really any problems with all 3 companies, I mean sure godaddy slow at times and transfering files is a lil dodgey but seriously for the price their good, host gator price/stability is all good and the plannet is pretty dam decent but just a few lil issues.

GOLDEN RULE
NEVER USE THE SAME COMPANY FOR YOUR DOMAIN AND HOSTING.
By all means use companies for one or the other but never use domain & hosting.

I use godaddy for my host for a site I run during football season. Been with them for 5 years and love them. Never had one down time. I don't know about high traffic sites and how it would be with them but I like godaddy.
I like the fact you can pay monthly through paypal. Not alot of hosts offer that. You either have to pay 3 or more months in advance and I don't like that. If I want to cancel at any time, I want to know Im not wasting money.
