Hey all, I've taken up the role of marketing My Albatross (http://www.myspace.com/myalbatross) - so far I have done a one day feature on friendstorm.net - that has worked best, getting me over 1000 requests. I was thinking of paying for the 30 day package but figured pretty much everyone would have added us after the first few days. So, any other ideas guys? Preferably, something where people add us rather than the other way round.

post comments on bands with similar music and with a link to your profile if they allow html.

I was only able to get maybe 4 or 5k max for a week with featured at friendstorm. Might have just been time of year or a bad couple weeks for myspace itself but most of it came in the first couple days and then tapered off even before the week was up. Happened on two seperate accounts.

Still a better deal than buying an account for $10per 1000 friends, but at least I wasn't able to get 20-30k friends from it.

Of course you couldn't, 30k friends from friendstorm is ridiculous, no way you would get that. I also had a featured profile and got like 2000 in the whole week, and they were just crap users who would end up asking me "how did you get on my friends list" and stupid stuff like that

A guy on SNF is selling an exploit which places you in the top 10 on Friendstorm for as long as you keep using it. I think it's about $15.
Makes getting 30k friends pretty easy.
