Satisfaction.com Corner Banner Design Contest - Win $25

Ok, here's your chance to be famous and design the new corner banner (CB) image for Satisfaction.com and win $25! This corner banner will show on the upper left corner of MS profiles that use Satisfaction.com layouts.

I'll hold this contest open for a week to see who can design the best one. The winner gets a $25 PP!

Here's what's needed...

Have it stand out the among all the other CBs out there. Some MS profiles have many CB's stacked up so try to have Satisfaction.com's stand out from the crowd.

Use whatever image dimensions you think are best but keep the file size (KB) as small as possible to minimize the load on my server.

Use the Satisfaction.com logo (attached) in the design. You can resize, glitter, animate, etc. Whatever you think will win.

Animated and/or glitter would be nice. You can add features text such as Free Layouts, Free Comments, Free Stuff to the design.

Submit as many entries as you like. Have Fun!

it would be nice for like a rough estimate of your dimensions because i really cant just make something and then expect it to be a size you like. I like to know how much space i can have to work with, because i generally make things large

do we have to use your "logo"? it's not really a logo its just text, i think i would try if you could change the text and things yourself. You don't have very many options with the existing logo

I'll only use the winner's corner banner.

On the dimensions, use whatever you feel will make the CB stand out from the crowd of other CB's. If it "sticks out" into the users profile, it has a better chance of not getting lost with other's CBs. I've seen some profiles out there with 5 CBs all competing for that corner spot stacked up.

Kudos if you can use my logo, however feel free to experiment with your own designs. If something is really cool, it can still win without using my logo.

Blends with your site, and will also look good regardless if someone is using a girly layout, a boyish layout and so on.

I can take out some frames, and do something like this:

Then depending on the quality/filesize you want, you can compress it, add some dither etc with something like the free gif cruncher at http://www.spinwave.com/

The lowest I could get it is 40kb without losing that much quality that would be noticeable.

If a tag file is being served 1,000,000 times a day at a 50KB filesize, that would be 50GB/day or 1.5TB/mo, wow.

... BTW, I wish I had that kind of traffic! :)

If you're serving that graphic 1,000,000 times a day, your servers and bandwidth would be able to handle that easily. But I could get it to hang around the 30kb mark easily enough. :1eye:
