There's been a ton of general chit chat going on, which is great - but it fills the latest 10 threads on the homepage up with things we already know are going on so we've made a forum specifically for slacking off :)
Note that any new posts made in the Fun Spot will not be shown in the latest threads on the homepage so make sure to scroll down and see if there's anything you want to jabber about.

Yeah, as was I.
I did have a question though - what does and doesn't boost your post count now? I noticed all of a sudden I went from 900 to over 1,000 posts... (Not that i'm complaining lol)

Great idea, It seems to have stopped the email notifications as well which were clogging up my inbox.
Not that I'm complaining, this is part of what the forum is for .... a communiety based on information and fun.

Actually I mainly use the newposts button.
Is there any way to select which forums you dont want to show when you click that button? I wanna block the
Town hall
Fun & Games
Jokes
etc.
I come to do business and talk myspace related stuff and all teh other stuff really gets in the way and makes the board seem to be turning into general chat.

This only works if people are posting in that section. LOL

@ angiie, the reason your posts went up is because when we posted in the "longest thread ever" they didnt count at first. then greg moved it and they counted, thats why everyone all of a sudden went from lets say 100 to 200 :P but then he closed the thread and split it up, and the posts count again and thats the reason for your posts having gone up so much :)

yeah it would be nice if you could block some forums. I remember yesterday when i was on here, it was just filled with spammy posts, like this was a forum for 4th graders. I liked how it was before. To only talk about myspace/myeeos related things

Hey now! I saw you participating in some joke/illusion threads! :P.
Nah, I'm glad they're blocked at the top so we can only see the 'important' threads.
I don't think the forums should be completely gone or anything- they are good for general chat and the members here to have a more relaxed time when we're all business-ed out.

there are more "general chat" threads and posts being made because the members here are becoming relaxed and getting to know each other which I think is good, you can't just be all business all the time or you will just get burned out. I don't think any of the posts were "spammy" as most of the members have been here quite some time and its not like they where trying to post random threads all over the forum or posting self promoting affiliate links it was just general chit chat and was contained within the forums that have been designated for such activities.
Again though I do agree that those types of topics do not need to show up in the new or recent threads if people want to see if they have updated they can just go look at the thread
