New Keyword

Well I decided to target a new keyword for my site 2 days ago and yesterday when I checked I was no where for it then I just checked it again now and I am already on page 5 in one day by this time next week hopefully it will be page 1 as well

When you say you targeted a new keyword, and it took 2 days to get to page 5, do you mean that you used new link exchanges that with that keyword?

I targeted 2 populair keywords ****myspace layout for my new site. For one i am on page 3 and the other one on page 5. Because there is a lot of competition for one of the keywords it is harder to get on page 1. But once i am there i am sure it will get alot of traffic. It is fun to see SEO can work on keyword selection.

no no link exchanges just edited my title tag, added the word to my home and some sub pages and switched my linkback text for my layouts to the proper anchor text

SeoElite indeed. I am not worthy. I never thought it was as easy as that. I always thought that it takes many laborous months for SEO. Thanks for the tip.

it all depends on what you are targeting some keywords take months or more some only a couple of weeks and if you know what you are doing sometimes even less :P

Samething here. Change of meta tags and titles and add keywords in the body text. Google crawl my website almost everyday so you will see the changes very quick.

He is able to shift his weight because apparently he has some say with google, meaning that his site has weight. I'm not totally sure about which page he edited, but if it was the frontpage - sure, you can tweak, but I probably wouldn't do that too often as google tends to like consistency.

Other than that, without knowing the keyword/phrase, good job :cool:

i got about 5k backlinks with G so i got enough weight to make small changes, and my changes where to the home page and probably a dozen or so of the inner pages as well.
