Hey i was just wondering if backlinks from myspace profiles help any way to increase your search engine results.

Im currently aiming at a search term and thought if i was to send 1000 or so comments with this term would it affect my rankings at all?


Any help in this area would be much appreciated.

not sure about comments now that msplinks is in effect but for sure the profile links count as backlinks.

Agreed.Also I don't think they had much sway before and even if the redirects weren't there now I think Google wouldn't really count them.
Google are picking up on backlinks from my profiles blogs though but I really don't know if they count for anything either.

I think it use to have a major effect however now i would say that profile backlinks hold little to non influence in search engines.

It matters on how many backlinks you get from other sites/IP, not just one site :)

I normally would agree totally with that but I think myspace sites are a little different if you look at the top sites and where most of their links are coming from....

I think profile links can definitely help your search engine rankings, but it is just one piece of the seo puzzle. You need to have links from many different sources using multiple keywords and urls to rank well for competitive terms.

comment don't work as will as createing mult myspace profile with back link back to you, it works way better

isnt myspace run of seprate IPS and they are grouped by the ID ranges or something?

1-30 million different ip range, 30-60 million ect ect...
