I'm curious as to the most money you've seen a myspace resource site go for?
I'm digging though dp, sp and others trying to find some, but I'm wondering if anyone knows of any off hand.

Mine went for $2,500 back in the day.

I sold my first one I made for $2,500 also.

I really screwed that one up. The site was on the first page for the term "myspace layouts". The site was blog style so it didnt bring me much money and this is before the whole myspace craze hit.

Anyways I really wish I didnt do that but after I sold the site I told the guy the weight would be removed and it was, now the site sits on page 4-5.

Theyre a waste of money if you ask me. A friend of mine had one during the fake "Track your friends!" bulletins days. Where everyone was posting bulletins to link back to their websites to supposedly gain "tracking" abilitys on your myspace account.

Ended up getting thousands of hits a day and sold it for a few grand. I can assure you, the buyer never saw that money back in the long run.

Precisely why I would never pay more than 2 to 3 months revenue for a myspace site.

I've sold MySpace sites for $2x,xxx.

Keep in mind these aren't the general turnkey junk. One of the first resource sites around.

While I'm sure there are some that go for more, it would seem that 2.5k is the "popular" price for a resource site.

Yeah, it's a good round number. I think it's easy to get them in the $250/mo. range as well.

Well if anyone wants to sell a site consistently producing $250pm net for $2,500 then I'm in the market.

We should see $100K + soon if those sites with 60k - 110k unique visitors per day on the market.

I am having a problem editing my MySpace profile. After I log in, and click "edit profile," the screen is virtually blank. The only visible content is the header and the footer, but the entire middle of the page remains empty. Here's a picture of what the screen looks like: http://www.ssdp.org/images/myspaceproblem.png

I have tried editing in safe mode, and although that allows me to see the editable fields of the profile ("interests, music, about me, etc), I get the same empty screen when I click to edit any of the sections.

I really need to solve this problem in order to update my profile. Please help!
If you know the solution to my problem, please e-mail me at tomangell@gmail.com.

get firefox, if you don't already have it. then get this, https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/60/ installed.

when you get to your profile, press ctrl+shift+s and that will disable css.

but back on topic, eccandrew (http://www.ecaandrew.com) who owns myspacesupport.com sold towercodes for $100k and myspacecity for $100k. myspacesupport.com has made him insanely rich.

towercodes is pretty big, myspace has tried to sue these guys a few times,

100k is alot to spend on a myspace site but I think its a wise investment.

myspacesupport went to court on a cease and desist notice, but from what i understand, all they got were a bunch of threats but no action.

70K for Bling Boo would have been a hell of a bargain.

Why were they told to cease and desist?

Fishfinger
October 10th, 2006, 09:16 AM
Because they have myspace in the name of the site. Myspace sent C&D letters claiming it was a trademark infringement.

Oh right, how did he avoid being sued/shut down then? If anyone knows the details? This is all very interesting.

yeah, the owner went to court but completely ignored everything after that. needless to say, hes doing a good 4 figures a day. http://ecaandrew.com/

hes 19 with 3 really nice cars and a completely remodeled home and all that jazz. if you look at his sitepoint threads, you will see that he tried to sell his site twice last year up until he got his ypn account. his license plate on the m6 says "ypn1" ;)

He makes so much $$ who cares

No need to go to college or get a regular job
Just make a resource site, rank top 10 in google for 'myspace layouts' and never have to work again

Bfft thats called luck and timing. Like lebron james, tiger woods and other examples of young people that achive seemlingly effortless wealth and fortune.

Right place, right time.

The pimpmyspace.org guy is also living large too. Same for the bigoo.ws guy and the skize.com guy.

Well you go ahead and wait for that luck at the right time, and envy all those who so far have been luckier than you.

Unless according to this research analysis...maybe these guys do a little work... (http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fortune/fortune_archive/2006/10/30/8391794/index.htm?postversion=2006101715)

Tiger Woods is a textbook example of what the research shows. Because his father introduced him to golf at an extremely early age - 18 months - and encouraged him to practice intensively, Woods had racked up at least 15 years of practice by the time he became the youngest-ever winner of the U.S. Amateur Championship, at age 18. Also in line with the findings, he has never stopped trying to improve, devoting many hours a day to conditioning and practice, even remaking his swing twice because that's what it took to get even better

MySpaceSupport.com now runs Google Adsense... not Yahoo! Publisher Network ads Why would he change if Yahoo! has the best pay out? Maybe he was asked to leave or have Yahoo!'s price dropped? What do you guys make of that?

Also he has now put a visible counter on his page... His first full day he only got 66773 uniques, I thought MySpaceSupport.com got so much more than that.

Edit: I say only, his achievement is still great, but less than I expected.

He got booted from Yahoo Publisherdue to poor traffic quality

A just banning ...those myspace sites have nothing but credit card/mortgage/legal ads on them. They deserve to be banned from yahoo.
