Have you clicked your own adsense ads? I have. Maybe 3 or 4 times now. I did it on complete accident too lol. A couple times I clicked it meaning to click something else (easy to miss on MSRS). And another couple times it was just an accident clicking on the page to bring that window to the top or something. Everytime I said "crap" and hurried and tried to stop the page from loading but always too late lol.
So, have you accidently clicked your ads? Or some people claim to click them to check out the competitions advertising or because the ad/product actually interesed them. Doesn't matter though as any self clicking is against TOS.
Anyone know how many clicks it takes to get banned for it? Would suck to get banned for a couple accidental clicks here and there.

I did a few times and emailed AdSense all scared and my response was basically 'try not to click your own ads, but if you do we won't count them because we have...' and they go on to make it sound like they're doing something more than cross referencing the IP you login with, with the IP's clicking on your ads.
Silly Google.

I used to do it quite a lot when i first started using Adsense, not for the money but because I was interested in checking out sites that were similar to mine.
I didn't even realise you could get banned for doing it.
Anyway I stopped but every now and again I slip up lol....I have noticed you don't ger credited for the click anyway so why do they ban people.

I have on accident before but with firefox you can block any ads on any site. I have them blocked for my sites so I dont accidently do something stupid and get banned.
I do check to make sure they are running by unblocking daily.

i've clicked my own ads twice and it's hard to avoid when you're working on websites all the time. especially changing from window to window to refresh and view changes.
also i've "clicked" ads and dragged my mouse off a ton of times. sometimes when a page is slow to load, an adsense banner moves under where my mouse is.... annoying.
also, firefox adblock doesn't seem to fully work for me. it'll block for like 2 hours and then come back. i've emailed google each time i clicked and they showed me an internet explorer adsense preview plugin which i installed, however i never use ie for anything so that was pointless.

Back in the day when Adsense was first rolled out I set it up on a health-related site and was very concerned to ensure that the ads weren't sending vulnerable people to scammers so I clicked a few times to see where visitors ended up.
At the time I didn't give a s*** about adsense -- only that I wasn't party to people get ripped off or conned by the snake-oil peddlars. I think I clicked about half a dozen ads in the first week but once my mind was eased, that was it.

PGZthats a great idea. Though would take some practice getting used to unblocking to check them daily and such. But much safer.

i have clicked my adsense in the begning.
but i guess you have to clik them too much to get your self banned.
Back then i remember my clicks were not paid for.
i guess google has soem good software and does let u off a couple of time.
once i had a warning email from google to forbid me for showing adds on a site that was against TOS and i quickly removed my ads from that site.
thank god they sent me a warning message and not "banned account msg"
