When I first started on the internet I did not have a clue about seo. One thing that taught me a very great deal in easy steps was a course for beginners by Brad Callen. I owe that man a great deal.

The course promotes his product SEO Elite (a great tool but you don't need it) but you WILL learn a great deal and it comes in short lessons. You can also download the PDF versions of each lesson to study at your own pace.If you are a beginner and are serious about SEO you need this (and no I'm not making anything).

yes he is very good, people should also check out Aaron Walls SEOBook (one of the most respected SEO and marketing pros on the net) it is one of the only up to date SEO books out there and also teaches website marketing as well. I think its like $60 for the book but its over 300 pages and well worth it and you get free updates for life.

I don't want to put anyone off reading the material - it's worth reading - but I would caution on buying the software unless you are certain you need and want it. There are no magic bullets. ;)

Aaron Wall (minneseolite has already mentioned him) has this to say about seoelite (http://www.seobook.com/archives/000869.shtml).

I would also ask why, even although the code is on the pages, there are no Adsense ads displaying on the sites?

Make your own judgements.

Check them for yourselves

Yes I agree with mcfox ... don't buy the software ... theres absolutely no need.

And anything you read from Matt Cutts ... well take it with with a big grain of salt, He's got carried away with the fame and an awfull lot of the stuff he espouses is rubbish .... more like a google wishlist in a perfect google world.

what do you guys think of the aaron wall book? is it worth the hype? i'm not looking for a magical solution to get ranked #1 overnight, i just need something that will help me avoid mistakes. So far, I zipped through mk's posted reading material today and found it very useful, for a beginner... but yeah, not going to buy the tool.

Aaron walls book is really good. I does deal more with marketing (which is good for this niche as well) but does still tons of pages on SEO with specific sections for Google. I bought it a month ago and it has over 300 pages of info and NO affiliate links like that other junk. Plus you get the added bonus of free updates for life

NO affiliate links like that other junk.

Why have you hijacked my thread calling my advice junk???If you want to plug the other book, which you have done twice so far, make your own thread stop posting in mine. :censored:

As I stated in my initial thread there is no need to buy the software and if you took time to read the course you would see that that there are some great FREE tools in the course.

I think you misunderstood me I was not refering to SEOElite being junk I was trying to refer to all those other so called SEO ebooks out there that sell for like $10 - $20 and contain only a couple of pages of info and a whole bunch of affiliate links. I use SEOElite every now and then so I would not call it junk

Not trying to hijack your thread I just was pointing out another good source of info and it just took off, feel free to remove my posts from your thread if you like.

Thankyou so much for this. I've just started reading it, and its taught me so much. Im only a begginer to SEO so I dont know all of the terms and such, and when I have tried to read other free seo tutorials, they are saying all these terms and things that I dont understand. With this, though, he explains everything really well, and I havent managed to get confused even once. Thankyou, again.

Like anything that has value to people there will be a great deal of misinformation that will outweigh the real information. Many people will even benefit from selling you this misinformation. The best thing to do is to experiment and do trial and error.
