Here is a nice little tool that I use that will let you know generally how hard it is to rank on the first page for any search term you want. This tool is good for noobs as well as it uses a simple "bar" and a % to tell you how difficult or easy it would be to rank for with lower %'s being easier.

For a general guide line anything above 50% will be of medium-high difficulty and will require some "real work" to rank for and anything below 50% you can pretty much start ranking for with just proper title tags and a couple hundred incoming links with proper anchor text.

There are also about 25 other good tools on there

I have used it on my last 3 myspace sites, 1 game related site, and one health site and it has been pretty good so far. And yes 3 word phrases can be just as if not more difficult that 2 word phrases its all in the competition and search volume. It might not be 100% accurate but it is pretty close and has shown me several keywords that I at first thought would be easy to target but it showed me otherwise.

When I first started using it I wanted to target a particular keyword phrase and it came back telling me that the keyword phrase had a 60%+ difficulty level and I remember thinking no way its wrong......well 3 months later I had only reached page 5 in the SERPS and remember thinking wow that tool was right this keyword is harder than I first thought

well they will at first but once there are a few hundred of them out there you will see that quickly change to at least 55% within the first couple months

myspace codes 71.35 %
myspace layouts 68.28 %

myspace codes harder than layouts?

yes it is, its because of supply and demand the more over saturated a keyword is with sites the harder it will be to rank for as there is already an excessive amount

It can't be that accurate.Of my 3 affilliate based sites that are No.1 in G,Y, and no.2 and 3 in msn it gives me over 75% on all of them.
Must be luck on my part

Well I think that's pretty useful for a new site who wants to pass the barrier. At your case your site is the barrier lol.... try to shut down your sites, the percentage will go down  ... j/k, don't ban me

Hmm really that is why it is recommended by alot of other SEO consultants as well...and its results coincide with other keyword difficulty tools as well.....

Well you are new here so dont really know much about you so what are your credentials as far as SEO/SEM is concerned or are you just another DP SEO weekend warrior....BTW your already incorrect cause it don't use MSN its made for Google
