View Full Version : Warning: Don't get friends too fast!!!!

If you use one of the bots...you might find yourself not being able to make friend requests!!!!
Obviosuly, I'll keep my myspace page confidential... but my company purchased $7,000 worth of advertising with myspace... the result being that I've been able to work with a rep who has cleared my account, etc.
For everyone who can no longer send friend requests: you're acocunt has been locked down. Myspace considers a huge volume of friend requests basically spam and will tag your account. Unless you have an inside contact with a myspace rep, that's it - you may still be able to send events, but no more friend requests and probably no more messages - ever.
There is nothing the software (here or elsewhere) will be able to do about it.
Seperately, myspace is on the look out for "cam operators" - people that set up fake accounts so lure people into a porn/pay web site. I would assume many of the people on THIS site fall into that category -- all I can say if that you are RUINING it for the rest of us!
So, we basically have two categories:
1. "real" businesses who are trying to build a big friend list and promote their business... bands, nightclubs, DJs, etc. For all of you, I suggest you try to keep your friend requests to a reasonable volume. If you can locked down, the only option I know of is to buy advertising and have your rep unlock you. It will be $7k+
2. "fake" businesses who set up dozens of accounts and send out thousands of requests a day in order to lure people to porn sites. For all of you, you're f*cking it up for the rest of us who are trying to use MySpace as a real tool. More importantly, the time of MySpace being usable for your type of application is pretty much over. My rep made it clear they have a big team out there looking for this type of use... they are the largest web site in the world and have a huge budget now, so they have the time and funds to find all the fake operators. Within a few months, you'll just be spinning your wheels on this type of use.

I keep my requests at 350 per day just to play it safe.

Do you use any request delay, like one request ever XX seconds? I first tried using a program yesterday, and did 500 requests. They locked it today!!!! Account is still there, but friend requests are ignored.

Well, you use sucky Macs... Windows rules!!
I use a program called adder robot or something like that, it crawls the profiles and makes the requests just like a human being.

Talking about adder robot, does anyone know how to get around the problem that it seems to have at the moment regarding premature 'done's.
I purchased AR today but seem to be constantly encountering this issue after 3-4 requests.
Ordinarily I would assume that it was me making a hash of it, however the site forum itself seems to be saying that it is a big problem.
Any suggestions very much appreciated.

Or do you get some kind of message saying they are locked?

I was guessing they were on 'midnight = 500 max reset' time.
They just don't even get added to the pending list. With there being accounts that require that you know them to be a friend, I actually didn't even make 500 requests on the account before it was locked.
http://www.myspace.com/105488824 being an example. aka, the account is still there.
Now when I create an account...the account is deleted before I even make it to the profile!!!! Right after the upload image option page, it's deleted.

Oh and one other thing, I never do anything with a profile until it has been "aged", I'll create a basic profile and then let it sit for weeks or even months before doing any real push with it.
I have no proof that this makes any difference, but I've yet to lose a profile.

<cough, splutter> I nearly choked with laughter when I saw your profile, Nintendo. :clown: It was the 'Stud' part that did it.
If you blitz Myspace with friend requests the account appears to be set up for a human review and you will be pegged as a spammer. Let's face it, most people who do this sort of thing will be able to spot a spammer's profile as soon as they land on the page. I'm sure Myspace staffers will be able to spot them much quicker than even we could.
I bought Adderbot right about the time myspace began their major overhaul so I got to see it work before the overhaul and after. While it worked fine prior to myspace making the 'improvements', the performance now just makes it a waste of time for me.

I'm not having any problems with adderrobot as such or accounts, I try and sent 480 requests per day per account.....but it's not happening that often as the biggest problem I encounter is Myspace being down so often I can either not log in or it shuts down before adderrobot gets finished. Each account has around 3k friends now but it would be triple that if Myspace wasn't such a *****.
Anyway just in case the new accounts get busted I bought four old pre 60 million accounts and will start adding to them soon, I'm not patient like MrGeek LOL.

osama binladin o my... we found him quickly call the f.b.i please ..............im rich b**ch...
I'm doing tests to see how fast and how many requests you can make with out geting flagged, and day 1 of test results are in, using mySpaceSuite since I'm on a Macintosh and can't use what you guys use....
100 requests, with one request every 30 seconds. Account is still accepting new friends.
100 requests, with no 30 second pause between each request. Account is still accepting new friends.
Today I'll test out
150 requests, with one request every 15 seconds.
150 requests, with no 30 second pause.
I'll do this this evening after they've probably gone home!!!

I was sending about 400 requests a day for about 2 months. It seems like my account is flagged now. New pending requests do not show up. Is there any way around/confirm this?

I lose dozens of accounts a day but nothing to worry about if you can churn em' out faster than they are deleted. About 3% of them make it past the myspace uzi and can be used over and over.

only 3%? You're doing something wrong lol. So 97% or your work is just washed away?

You can't buy stuff with x's. ;)
What is IQD? And are all those x's towards the left filled with numbers higher than 0?
Drew
October 30th, 2006, 04:00 AM
x being a representation of a digit between 0-9 and I'll state right now that the left most x is NOT a 0.
IQD is the currency code, eg USD = American Money.

come back on track guys.
we are discussing dont add too many friends and not someones paycheck here.
and yes i would also like to know what is a safe no.
i have been adding 250 friends every alternate day have not lost many accounts as yet may be 2-3% of my accounts.
but i think this is too slow.
i think i need to do it at a higher speed though.
could some one share the maximum friend requests on new profiles people have done here.

money train it depends on what server ID range at myspace your acocunts are in.
The new ID range accounts are the ones myspace seem to work on 24/7.
Older IDS have a little more room to move =)
yet it doesnt mean your accoutns cant get flagged at any time by some one who doesnt liek advertising you are doing and a account worth $250 is wiped out after a few days.

I haven't really tried any sort of myspace advertising... hoping to do so in the near future though. I definitely can't afford $7,000 worth of advertising though lol.
