All I did was change my title tags, and after two days I got to the first page for 'cartoon dolls' in google :)
I'm second last on the first page but hey, that's still pretty good.
'Cartoon Dolls' is a pretty well searched term. maybe not compared to myspace keywords but still... I still want to get higher and further up the page.
Do you think you seo-gurus (lol) could give me some tips and pointers?
I'm lost when it comes to all that.
I need to put dynamic page titles into place soon but they didn't work last time I tried so I might have to forget that.
(site link is in my sig btw ;))

Congrads, but lately Google has been dancing. When your done checking out what mkinfo suggested I'd head over to forums.digitalpoint.com and possibly v7n.com for some further advice.

Serps can be decieving. I was ranked 6 for a keyword then fell off completely after 3 weeks and don't even rank for it anymore.

Exactly nycborn. :) SEO should be a long term committment of continually researching keywords and doing optimization to your site. It's not a set it and leave it sort of job.

Agreed SEO is a continual balancing act and you should monitor what your competition is doing at least once a month. Of course keywords with less competion will require alot less SEO follow up work....
Would agree that WebCEO is a good tool for those just learning SEO as it will check your site for all the basics and give you a report with suggestions for you site.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by that. Care to elaborate?
Are you saying you should put unique title tags on every page? If so, then yes. Definitely

I have experienced this in the past, or example I've been targeting "myspace layouts" for the past 1.3 years and have always stood somewhere on the 4th-6th page. Well then I will adjust my title tag for a little lesser competition keyword and bamm within a week I will be on the first page. So when that happened, I know my site has alot of serp power. Just not enough I guess to beat the competition for "myspace layouts".

Yeah, but with a php method (I use PHP includes) rather than going through every page and going <title>Title Words</title> and all the rest of my header code.

Exactly what happened for me.
But when I open my myspace sites, I won't be targeting the myspace layouts keyword as it's just way too competitive and I don't know jack about SEO.
