My company is thinking about rolling out a flash widget that requires user registration. Would it be compelling to offer a new type of link exchange where your site would receive advertising on the profile of every user who signs up with a referral from your site?
Here's how it would work:
1) You sign up as a link partner and specify what code you want users to paste in their profiles along with our widget (usually a link back to your site)
2) You send users to a special entry page that puts a cookie on the users machine
3) If that user subsequently signs up for our service and places our widget on their profile, the HTML will contain the code that you specified when you signed up.
That way, any visitor that you send us will end up putting a link back to your site instead of ours (but will be our member and have our widget). How does that sound?
Thanks,
