Be patient while I break the forums today. Namely the postbit... Functionality won't stop, I hope, But the display might be a little cheeky at times.

iTrader isn't gone...
I think she means:
The iTrader system is currently closed.

Will the new avatars be there now? I find it harder to distinguish between who's talking because it looks like all the same person.

I liked it better before... But now at least the page isn't so long.

People like what they're use to :) It's just human nature.
From a readability standpoint though, there's no good reason to have the user information and the post side by side.

I liked it better at the side. Too much space now, it's annoying...

Among other benefits to this layout, more text fits on screen with the current layout. It will remain.

Why not make it an option to let us choose which style we prefer?
It looks rather stupid for those of us without an avatar with all that whitespace to the left of our name.

Yea it sort of looks unfinished with the whitespace for those with no avatar. Plus too much white space on my wide screen ... but its no biggie; I'll get used to it :-)

Looks fine here..

The horizontal whitespace is because I have the posts set to be a minimum height to prevent clutter. I'll remove it when I get time and check it out.
The reason I won't make it an option is because I do a LOT of modding to the forum and to have to do it for more than 1 theme would take more time than I have unfortunately.

I dunno whats up with itrader but I have like 10 emails from other users on here saying i gave them a bad rating or something?? I dunno but I don't even know any of them. I'm sure it's just a glitch cuz your working on them :)

If you received them yesterday or the day before, then yes - but if you received them today please let me know.

From a readability standpoint though, there's no good reason to have the user information and the post side by side.
Readability decreases after 900px in width. My resolution is 1280px across, so big posts are going to be a bugger for me (and I'm probably not the only person here with a widescreen).
Other than that, now I've gotten used to the way the posts are set out, I quite like it. :P

I find such studies more or less a crock:s My main screen is 1920px wide and I have no problems with readability, even with two more monitors full of text next to it....

This much better, I have always had my forums set up like this as I always found it worked best.
I usually use three monitors and can't see where there would be a problem.

I guess it would also depend on the line height, contrast, etc?

If your screen is too wide make the explorer window smaller to your needs :P
I like the new layout :D

Lol, that's basically the same as putting a big notice on your site saying "View only in IE with a resolution of 1024x768px and above, with JavaScript and Flash enabled!" and that practice is generally frowned upon. :P
EDIT//
Just so you know, I'm not trying to argue with anyone. :P
