placing background trouble

HELP WITH MY BACKGROUND.
I am tring to put a photo that is on my hard drive and place it on my space background.PLEASE PLEASE I NEED SOMEONE TO TELL ME WHAT I AM DOING WRONG.AND SHOW ME THE RIGHT WAY TO PLACE IT ON THERE.

Upload the photo to an image hosting site and then use one of the many background generators out there to make the code. It will ask you for the url for the image, this will be provided by the image hosting site when you upload the image.

http://pimpin-profiles.com/Generators/Backgrounds/ is one background code generator.

I moved this to the proper forum.

In order to have an image as your background, you need to upload it an image hosting site such as imageshack.us

Once you have uploaded your image, they will provide you with a direct link. Make sure you copy the direct link.

Then is as simply as placing this code in the About Me section of your profile:

You will obviously need to change the location of the image, and you can adjust the positioning as well. If you let us know exactly how you would like it displayed, we can help you more.

i found the code and imageshacked my background...and even put the transparent so the white background won't be there. I did everything it said the first pic caption...but my background still doesn't show up. It shows up when i go to put more pics on...but not looking into my profile.
Can someone help!!??

That extra is is really bugging me! (I know I can't talk my grammar and spelling is terrible, but evertime I load the home page I see that extra e glaring at me!!)
