I now have a layered tech server and I've created an account for one of my sites. What info do I need to give my domains nameserver to initiate the move?
thanks,
chris...

You need to register the nameserver with your domain registrar and then you can use ns1.domain.com. Just enter the ip address you got from layeredtech for the domain you would like to use.

I'm just not getting this. I got this from there tech support.
You will need to set up your own DNS servers and register them with your registrar, then update your domain registration to point to these servers.
You can use the following IP addresses in your resolver:
72.36.190.2
72.36.191.2
216.39.90.2
216.39.90.3
Can anyone hold my hand with this.

What domain registrar are you using?
Use this tutorial (http://forum.weborum.com/lofiversion/index.php/t2697.html) if your registrar is godaddy.

In godaddy, you go into the DNS modification, and scroll down, where it gives you an option to add a new nameserver, and thats where you would add your new nameserver. If its a dedicated server, (mine) I use ns1.(mydomain that I used setup the server).com

you do it at your reg with 2 of the IPs they gave you to use. Then you just change your domain to the new NameServers you just made.

You will need to setup a DNS server (BIND).... Layeredtech does not have DNS servers for you to use. Just reverse DNS. Search their forums. There is a tutorial on how to use godaddy's parked name servers to point to your box.
