Hi All,

It's time to launch my script Phostodio for sale. I've written the whole information about Phostodio but then I realized it's maybe too long for some people :) although it will be good if you read that so you will know about my idea in creating this script and more importantly how to fully utilize my script. So I divided my post, if you want to read the essay, please see the details on our forum as well.

WHAT IS PHOSTODIO?
Phostodio is an online tool where everyone can create their own combination of photos, images, cliparts and animated images such as glitter graphics.

Key Features:
- Freely arrange all of the images that want to be combined.
- Utilize your current graphics collection - just setup where you put your collection in the server and let your users play with them in Phostodio.
- Automatically add your site's name and url to the result - you may setup this option.
- Flexible templates - allowing you to blend Phostodio to your current layout or placing ad spots.
- Brand Phostodio for your site - you may change the logo, welcome message, etc, so users will see this service is purely from your site.
- Result in image format (gif, jpg, png) - make it possible to be used almost everywhere.
- Image manipulation filters - such as adjust the brightness, sharpen, colorize, add border and more.
- Easy installation - basically just unzip, setup your site info and run!

By using Phostodio, users may:
- create a stack of their photos.
- add glitter comment to their or somebody's photos.
- put their photos in a nice glitterized frame.
- add some funny face components (such as eyes, nose, lips, beard, hat, glasses, etc).
- create a scrapbook picture.
- combine other graphics to part of MySpace layout.
- and any other possibilities.

SERVER REQUIREMENTS:
1. PHP 4.3.x and above but not PHP 5.
2. ImageMagick with MagickWand for PHP (can be obtained from http://www.imagemagick.org and http://www.magickwand.org)
3. Zend Optimizer (I believe this should be commonly available in most webhosting but I'm telling this anyway).

TERMS & SUPPORT:
1. One license is valid for one instance of Phostodio.
2. You will have free updates for this Phostodio version (we have plan to create Phostodio Pro but it's still far away, thus you will have free updates for this version but not Phostodio Pro). When Phostodio Pro is ready, if you want to upgrade you will only need to pay the price difference.
3. Sorry, no resell rights.
4. Support is available for this script in Phostodio forum (http://www.phostodio/forums).

Demo url: http://www.phostodio.com/users/workspace.php

I'm opening first 5 slots for US$ 69 - be the first ones who run this service, I'll let you couple days to be exclusively having this service.

Bonus:
- You will get 100 untagged glitters along with the purchase. This glitters are courtesy from Ganlet, I had asked his permission to do this.
- (Maybe) some glitter frames - as these haven't completed yet, I can't give you exact promise :)

PM me or write here if you want to purchase, I'll PM you the payment detail.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask ;)

Thanks a lot for your interest!

I wish thiis was made for say your computer and not just something you have to put on your server to use.

If it was I would buy it.

Looks pretty damn cool though. Would be awesome to see more effects and maybe some glitter'ing tools. I might grab a copy...

Yeah I know but how hard is it to make it for an actual PC for a webmaster to use when not online ?

Yeah, sort like that. It's an online tool so it needs a webserver.

Maybe for the updates, but the design isn't exactly for photo editor (for example works like online Photoshop ) no, it is not, although not closing the possibilities to add some features later.

I do like this product, one question though, is there a way to upload the created images to an ftp site on a different server? I don't host the images myself and would like that capability.

Is the script encrypted or are we able to make adjustments?

Ah nice idea, currently no but it will be available very soon, I put it in my top to-do list. :)

Yes, it's encrypted. But I made it modular, for example for image filters webmasters who knows programming will be able to create additional filters by themself.

Why not just get PaintShopPro (http://paintshoppro.com) - I think that costs not a lot more than this, and has 10 million more features, plus it's not hard to use once you've learned it, took me a few hours to fiddle then follow step-by-step tuts on how to make glitter images...

------------

I love this script, I never realised how cool it is, it isn't that far from blingee.com's script..Could make a nice little site outta it to those who wanted that! :)

Is it possible to add multiple glitters (animated gifs) on top of a jpeg file?
I tried to add two animated gifs over my jpeg file, but only the top gif stays animated after I had to merge the images?

Thanks for pointing that site out, I never know blingee... lol... where was I? too busy creating this script I think  Some similar sites I found when developing this script are zingfu.com and pikipimp.com, I had this idea before I knew zingfu, believe me :) and pikipimp is a new one, just couple days announced in mashable before I launched my script.

I'm glad to know this, it means that it's a working idea as it's being looked by some parties. And the blingee news says in 2 months there were 1 million blingee created, means that users are loving this. But, of course it also means that we are not alone who plays in this field.

Nah, that needs to be explained in technical things, but to make it simple that's because my script allows us to put the animated image out of the background image boundary (this is a feature where I haven't found in other similar sites), if I allowed both animated gifs run, it would result wrong/weird animation in some cases. So only one animated gifs allowed (you can merge some animated gifs, but the newest one only will stay animated).

Some more questions ;):

How resource heavy is it? Seems it would get killed with any amount of users.

Lots of Updates? More features and effects coming or will you be saving a lot of the cool features for pro?

will you Install it?

Needs a "new" link to start over in the file menu heheh.

would it be possible to text/glitter maker/editor inside the app or connected in some way?

How much is Pro going to be and will it be an easy upgrade?

How many copies are you selling total, later? How many of pro?

How about the first 5 to buy automatically get upgraded to pro when ready for free? ;)

Okay, some quick answers because I need to leave for some hours...

How resource heavy is it? Seems it would get killed with any amount of users.
If you compared with common scripts where no image manipulation involved surely it's heavier, but I have tried my best to make the process efficient and it also depends on imagemagick internal process. I can't say the exact measurement for this but for your rough comparison my demo site is using shared server account.

Lots of Updates? More features and effects coming or will you be saving a lot of the cool features for pro?
Well, you can expect such as new image filters, some features like mentioned previously (FTP to different server), your "new" menu and something like that. But please don't expect "big" changes :) Anyway, Pro is still a long way... (unless there's some other reason ;) ), but at the moment I can't really say much about the Pro version.

will you Install it?
For my script, it will be very very easy to install, I guarantee somebody who just knows FTP can do it and you will always have me to give help and support :). For the server requirements you need to ask your webhosting provider, I can't do much about this.

would it be possible to text/glitter maker/editor inside the app or connected in some way?
I can't explain this in an easy way right now, but I'll try to make it possible for buyers (connecting other glitter maker etc to my script).

How much is Pro going to be and will it be an easy upgrade?
How many copies are you selling total, later? How many of pro?
I haven't decided yet, and Pro is still long way. :)

How about the first 5 to buy automatically get upgraded to pro when ready for free?
Ouch... please don't say that :) This script is really from my idea and hard work, so is Pro, please believe me I'll make it all fair. :)

Thanks guys... see you later....

It's $69 people.... As it is you would be getting a hell of a deal if he offered you no support and no updates - so quite with the nickel and diming already.

Good work aditan.

The only question I need answered is how easy it is to template and fit into our site when it's encrypted? Or are only certain parts encrypted?

i like this gen but i would rather have the users be able to put thier own text on images and make them glitter rather than put a premade glitter graphic on top of an image. is that possible?

Thanks Greg, appreciate that.

The only question I need answered is how easy it is to template and fit into our site when it's encrypted? Or are only certain parts encrypted?
Surely the templates aren't encrypted.
How easy to fit into your site? basically the templates will be like when you're writing a webpage (so you need to know HTML - and some PHP things if you want to - ), and the templates work like a divided page. So I think it's possible for any site's layout, unless in your layout needs a form process you can't expect your form and Phostodio will work together in one page :)

i like this gen but i would rather have the users be able to put thier own text on images and make them glitter rather than put a premade glitter graphic on top of an image. is that possible?
Currently no such feature, when I designed Phostodio I wanted to make this feature but I see it doesn't give impressing result compared to pre-made glitters (the designers here are cool you know  ). So, no such feature right now, if you're asking in the future I'll say perhaps, I don't want to give a "blank" promise :)

Btw, some PMs ask me something like this: "Could you make Phostodio to work like <other services>?"

Well, Phostodio has its unique engine so are other services, change it to mimic the others will be like a "big overhaul". For example as I have mentioned previously, in Phostodio users are able to combine more than 1 photo, freely arrange the images and merge it outside the boundaries, so it's about the engine of Phostodio. It would be difficult to change it like others or others changed like Phostodio.

I hope this answers some questions there, but if you have any other questions, feel free to ask here or PM me. :)

Hi... not surely understand what you meant, but my script is able to let users store the final image in your server and just copy the code. Currently I disabled that feature ... hmm maybe I need to setup another demo url, currently it's being used for users and demo :/
