Probably a stupid question

I've been using PS for sometime now, so you would think I would know this.. but I don't! Is there a keystroke shortcut for duplicating a layer? I know the key commands for most other comands but for the life of me I can't figure out the duplicate layer one (if there is one).. and it doesn't list one on the drop down menu on PS so I'm thinking there may not be one?? If anybody knows, that would be great :clap:

Try Ctrl+J :)

Yep Ctrl+J
it saves my life. If you don't know the opposite of it would be Ctrl+E which is merge layer down.

Ive been making glitters for like 3 years now and have never been able to figure out that one... it will be a huge time saver! It was the only keystroke I didn't know, and the one I wished for the most lol :)
