When you type "myspace layouts" or "myspace ....." your site comes out to be like on 7th page or 10th or whatever.... how much could you spend to get on 1st page?

I'd spend whatever my budget allows. Thats a heavily competitive keyword however. You could spend a lot and not get much progress. You'd have to think that others are also spending.

It aint cheap I know. You have to buy a lot of myspaced related links to gain a PR of 6 to have a chance of ranking there permanently.
Or use a Black hat link spamming method via XSS or dropping links in .edu sites. The guys who try to rank for viagra keywords do this.

not really... have you guys seen www.myspacemaster.net?
that guy has just been buying high PR textlinks on textlinkads and after a couple of months he is on page 1.
im sure it costed him a good amount of money, but he should easily be able to make it back.

Oh wow, do you know how much he spent or have an estimated amount? Would all the high PR textlinks have to be anchored with just "myspace layouts" ?

yeah, ive seen on a lot of quality sites such as designer blogs/css galleries with his url and the anchor "myspace layouts"
i would estimate that he's spent thousands of dollars... a really risky investment IMO...

With YPN ads the ROI is amazing even if you spend a lot on text links. The ads can pay 1-3 per click and you get hundreds of them a day. But high PR text link ads are baout 100-500 a month and they may not work if google deems tham spammy. Yea a risky investment.

No ads on a myspace site pay $3 a click

how can you say that knowing that you can target categories no matter what your site is about?
It doesn't matter if it's a myspace or credit loans site.... if you target certain categories to your page you can get high paying clicks.
Basically what you just said is no ads in YPN pay $3 per click and that's frankly not true.

you would need to invest im thinking low-mid $XX,XXX+ may more to get any where near page one for "myspace layouts"
Also a bunch of other factors come in with it like seo skills and other stuff,

I actually know the webmaster of myspacemaster IRL and he goes to my uni. I won't say how much $$ he spends in figures but can roughly tell you 3/4 of his monthly earnings put back into his site every month.
Him coming from a wealthy company the money he loses wouldn't be much.

Hey Jakkz, just saw you at uni just now lol. Yeh, Jakkz is right. MySpaceMaster is already a loaded boy, drives a porshe cayman to uni yesterday. He is a nice dude, went to dinner with him and he shouted like 15 of us. His is also a pimp, has like 2-3 gf's. Anyway back to the topic, he also spends lot of time and money to get there. So it's not easy work.

some big sites are making big drops look at myspace support.
it was once doing a easy 120k uniques a day,
now its like 75-80k a day.
heaps of new people comming into good SE ranking for key myspace terms.
