I've noticed that most everyone wants and likes clipart in their glitters. I absolutely HATE doing glitters with clipart. Is there anyway you would settle for buying a pack of glitters with like half clipart and half not if the plain half had more than one color and effects, etc.?

I was going to make a thread on clipart lol.

I don't so much mind making glitters with clipart but clipart itself is so ugly it ruins the graphic.

I've seen a couple of people have some sort of obsession and demand that their images have clipart on them, which I don't really get. Clipart doesn't really add anything to the glitter. I've rarely seen people use glitters containing clipart.

I have typed the word 'clipart' so many times in this post, it's now lost all meaning. :P

Clipart is good for holiday graphics, but other than that I like plain better.

Most comments I get on myspace are plain graphics with no clipart, except for the holidays of course.

I don't mind doing either or though.

Same here. I think my clipartless/imageless/dingbatless glitters look better than the ones with the cliparts/images/dingbats.

My glitter file sizes have gone up by quite a lot since I started using cliparts or images in them. This doesn't *really* bother me since it won't be my bandwidth or space but I feel sorry for the dial-up users. =\ Loading time's going to be worse for them.

I also don't like how long it's taking me to make them at the moment - 3 hours for 15 glitters is excessive, lol. =\
(I've only been doing glitters with images for a few days, so I'm hoping I'll speed up once I've got a nice collection of images to add. )

If you ever notice myspace profiles, when ppl use glitters (non comments), the glitter never has a clip art. It's just a word or a saying, wich most ppl like best.

Some clipart looks way too tacky and ugly in my opinion.

notice the majority of posters here. you'll know what I mean if you do. We're not used to the clipart glitters I guess.

it's too hard to find clipart that can be used for commercial use. I'm soo glad that a lot of people don't care for them. I spent a few hours last night to find some I can sell :/ but all the public domain ones are crap.

clipart is being used as part of the glitters because buyers want something "unique", something that sort of stands out that may possibly give the end user want to go back to that particular site. but its a lot easier to just do word glitters

Yeah I only EVER see people using text glitter on myspace profiles, and the only time I ever really see clipart glitter is when its a holiday, like andria said.

Adding clipart doesnt really make glitters unique cos you can do a lot of nice things with just text... I think clipart looks good when its a funny saying.

I kinda see the opposite of everybody. Most of my users like the clipart graphics.

What do you guys think of using tubes instead? I am just
learning to make these for my site. Not selling or anything, just
want opinions. Heres a couple I made with psp tubes.

I use PSP Tubes  - there are loads of free ones which can be used for commercial and non-commercial works and they resize much better than cliparts. :P

Personally I think glitters look better with clipart. But only if the designer takes the time to find the perfect piece of art to fit the words. if you just throw any old clip art in just for the sake of having clipart in your glitter then no it's usually not to good.

I get alot of comments on my space with clipart in them.

it takes me FOREVER to find half-decent clipart. there's no telling how long it would take me to find the "perfect piece of art."

i have memberships to 3 psp tube sites. however some people on here referred to the female tubes that i used as blowup dolls. lol. they didn't like them too much. so i just use the female tubes for my own stuff.

I've always thought that tubes looked like they were made to look real but they look totally fake. Kinda like they were aiming for realization but something went way wrong. :P

Depends on the image used. Some are real images, some have been made using a computer and some are cartoony/clipart-like. :P

I've never used tubes before really, except back in like 01 when snow globes were popular lol.
