I never had problems with Surpass with a site that had 1,000+ uniques a day, but if you plan on growing, Surpass doesn't seem to be the answer.

I use hostdepartment.com have been for 2 yrs with no problems, they have no limit hosting which is no limit on disk space and no limit on bandwidth. So far I have almost 30 gigs of info on my site and have had months where I hit over 300 gigs of bandwidth with no problems and no complaints.
They accept Paypal as a billing method and also allow you to pay monthly with no contract which was my main decision for using them. I would recommend you go with their No Limit Developer Package on a Linux server its only like $7 a month.

Do they have any downtime? Hows the loading of your sites?
I am currently looking for a replacement to dreamhost. they have had way to much downtime lately.

Same. As soon as I read that I jumped. the sooner i can move from dreamhost the better.

Anything is better than dreamhost.
Some of the ones already mentioned here are good. I would also recommend inmotionhosting - no downtime that I'm aware of in 4+ years that I've had a few accounts with them.

Try network redux. They also have an option of migrating your sites from your current host to the new hosting with them. Get a reseller account and it has worked great for me. I also have hosting with Hostgator (shared and a dedicated server), I have a windows hosting with m6, and also a reseller account with quality hosting. I have to tell you this, quality host has the fastest turnaround time for support tickets.

=) Read about this. One or two reviews from people is great, but hundreds are even better

According to my website monitoring program my site has been down a total of 2 hours in the last 6 months. I know I have 3mb internet so all sites load fast for me, but I have done website speed tests with all my sites and always achieved a rating of excellent. If you want to see a site I have with them check out www.kalatma.com for load time example
