Ok I guess sense this aint myspace related at all I will throw it up here. Ok well basically I sold one of my game related sites yesterday and kinda screwed myself lol. The site is just a simple one I made for fun nothing fancy www.smbgames.com well basically when I listed it for sale I was expecting to get maybe $500 for it based on its $5 a day earnings. In one day much to my suprise I woke up to find 9 PM's in my inbox for people posting BIN ($1500) for the site. Then one guy offered me $1575 for it and I got so excited I sold it to him right away ending the auction 2 days early.
This is where I begin to screw myself as upon checking the previous 2 days adsense earnings I see the site has jumped from $5 per day to $10+ per day! Then to top it off and rub the salt in 6 hours AFTER I recieve payment and transfer the site I get a PM from another guy wanting to offer me $1900 for the site :(.........I guess getting overly excited and ending the auction early was a bad thing lol :surrender:

Sorry to hear that. But look on the bright side. You got more than he $500 than you expected. Sometimes we have to count our blessings I guess.
P.S. I cannot reply to your PM but I'm working on it. :)

Nothing real spetacular non of them have hit over 3k a day with most averaging 1k a day I guess I am just good with ad placement and such. My lowest site so far had a 3% CTR and most of my sites average a 6% CTR with the highest one averaging 12% CTR

Actually I use 3/4 of the money to pay my child support and the other 1/4 on content and advertising

Yup the first site I ever sold was a myspace site and I sold it when it was earning around $6 a day with YPN I shared my YPN account with the person that bought it and by the end of the month the sites ranking jumped for a keyword I had been working on forever and the site started averaging $30 - $50 per day lol

It's okay - we all live and learn from our misfortunes! :) - look at the positive part - you made a really nice site - somebody else was interested in your work - they offered more than you expected - and you are now helping out another person's life adding to their daily income - even have possibly networked and added a contact - good work!

I screwed myself even more with the first site I ever sold. It made $5 a day, and I sold it for $125. I'll never sell an income stream unless I'm retiring.

I did this months ago.
Somebody was playing hard to get with me, so I sold to the other guy who wanted to pay $4500 right then and there. I was told later by the guy who was playing hard to get he would have gone all the way to $7000. (pissed me right off for a week)
And the site I sold is now #1 - 3 on google, yahoo and msn for "high stakes poker"
I want to yell right now :)
