Ok. I just bought the Verizon Treo 700w which has windows mobile. Now I really want Bejeweled (the game) on my phone. But in the little verizon software store area it doesn't have bejeweled but rather it has bedazzled, which I do not want.

So my question is, if I were to download bejeweled straight from internet explorer, and attempt to run it on my Treo, would it work? I don't want to purchase bejeweled, only to find out it does not work at all.

Any feedback or suggestions are welcome.

You may need a verizon hack to get it to work but I would think with windows mobile being similar to XP it should work but no guarantees.

Well i tried it out and it did end up working. I'm really glad. There isn't much space available for programs on the phone, but its enough to fit the games i wanted on it.

the treo is a phone. i got the 700w which runs windows mobile. and thus has a hardrive like interface i guess. i was asking if i could download the game straight to the hard drive. But I ended up getting a pocket pc and windows mobile compatible version of the game from www.astraware.com

Bejewelled, bedazzled, befuddled - I try to keep up, I really do.

this phone made me almost cry when i bought it. my mom wouldn't extend our contract so it ended up costing me 600 and something bucks. add that together with the shopping i did 2 days before and the hundred dollar haircut and haircoloring i got done on saturday, and i spent 1000 in 3 days...i almost choked when i looked at my paypal balance.

I had a treo a while back and really liked all it could do. Sadly I only ended up using it as a "phone" and checking email and such but didn't end up using much other stuff. I also hated how big it was since I was used to having a flip phone that could fit in my pocket comfortably lol.

Bejeweled it fun though and I had it on mine. Can't remember the name of the other one I really liked playing but it was something like Feeding Frenzy or something.

Cool phone/"PDA" but just too big for my taste.

Selena, and all my other windows smartphone users:

I'd recommend picking up a SD card. These are the same memory cards that are typically used in digital cameras. You can get them fairly cheap 128MB for $10.00 from Staples or Best buy. You can store games, pictures, mp3s and programs on there. It's a sweet deal because it doesnt take up the phones hard drive space which is used for running programs. If you don't have a memory card and are using the phone's space it might run slower. Just an FYI. But congrats on bejewled.

Actually, you meant a mini sd card for smartphones. make sure it's the mini, regular SD card won't work.

Also there are better deals online you can get for larger drive space such as 2-4GB for mini SD for cheap prices

for games and music, you need tons of space.

Nagiee,

Some take mini and some take normal SD. But your correct they do have great deals on larger ones. :)

Thanks for the advice. I just tried the memory card from my digital camera and it fit just fine so I'm glad to know that. I'll probably get a pretty large storage card beause i do want to put music on it and also be able to put a lot more games on it.

Oh one more thing, you need some extra add on battery. the ones that come with it sucks for games and music.
